'Tennessee Underworld' reporters on Metcalf today

Charles C. Thompson II and Tony Hays — the reporters whose exclusive investigative series on Al Gore was credited by many in Tennessee with Gore’s loss of his home state, and therefore the presidency — will be the featured guests on Geoff Metcalf’s Internet talk show today at 5 p.m. Pacific.

Another direct result of the series on Gore is the $165 million lawsuit brought by a major Gore fund-raiser against WorldNetDaily.com, Inc., Thompson, Hays and others.

Thompson is a news veteran, having worked for years as Mike Wallace’s producer at CBS’s 60 Minutes as well as being a founding producer of ABC’s 20/20. Hays’ 20-part series on drug trafficking in west Tennessee was primarily responsible for the Courier of Savannah winning the 2000 Public Service Award from the Tennessee Press Association.

Metcalf’s live daily program can be heard on WorldNetDaily’s streaming page — TalkNetDaily — from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Pacific time (7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Eastern).

Editor’s note: WorldNetDaily has established a Legal Defense Fund to offset legal costs in defending itself against this lawsuit. Contributions can be made online, or by calling WND toll-free at 1-877-909-1776. Also, a check, made payable to WorldNetDaily Legal Defense Fund, can be mailed to: WorldNetDaily.com, Inc., P.O.
