Dr. Laura Schlessinger, one of talk radio’s most successful personalities, today begins writing a monthly column exclusively for WorldNetDaily.

Dr. Laura,” as she is affectionately known to her millions of radio listeners, is the best-selling author of books focused on successful relationships, parenting ideas, morality and personal ethics. She also edits “Perspective” magazine.

“We’re very gratified and honored that Dr. Laura has chosen WorldNetDaily, among all the many venues open to her, to write a regular column on the issues of the day,” said Joseph Farah, founder and chief executive officer of the leading independent newssite.

Dr. Laura received her Ph.D. from Columbia University and her post-doctoral certificate in marriage, family and child counseling from the University of Southern California.

Her radio show was known as the fastest-growing program in the history of the radio medium, now with more than 400 stations and 15 million listeners. It is consistently one of the top two national radio programs along with Rush Limbaugh, airing live 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. Eastern.

Her books include “Parenthood by Proxy,” “The Ten Commandments – The Significance of God’s Laws in Everyday Life” and “Ten Stupid Things Women Do To Mess Up Their Lives.”

She also founded the Dr. Laura Schlessinger Foundation to help children and families in need.

But, as Dr. Laura would say, her proudest achievement and most important job is being the mother of 16-year-old Deryk.

“I sometimes publicly ask where all the heroes in our culture have gone,” said Farah. “But then I remember people like Dr. Laura and the work she does. She is certainly one of my personal heroes and I am privileged to call her a friend.”
