As part of his regular report on ABC Radio’s nationally syndicated John Batchelor Show, WorldNetDaily’s Jerusalem bureau chief Aaron Klein tonight will discuss WND’s breaking story that a United Nations team currently in Lebanon to verify the departure of Syrian troops and intelligence forces from the country has been coordinating its travel in a manner that offers military installations advanced notice of the team’s arrival, allowing Syrian intelligence agents that may be still operating in Lebanon to hide or flee.
Klein will appear on a segment tonight at 10:50 p.m. Eastern.
As WND reported, a United Nations team arrived last week to verify the departure from Lebanon of Syrian troops and intelligence forces.
According to sources close to the team, the mission is coordinating its travel with Lebanese security, substantial elements of which have been accused of working for Syria, and their plans have been leaked multiple times to bases scheduled for inspection.
Although Syria claimed it removed its intelligence forces from Lebanon with last week’s reported withdrawal of troops, former Lebanese prime minister Michel Aoun and several Lebanese opposition leaders told WND this week Damascus continues to secretly maintain intelligence agents in the country.
With the U.N. verification team’s travel known in advance, any Syrian agents currently inside Lebanese bases have time to depart, Klein will report.
