WASHINGTON – Joseph Farah, founder of WorldNetDaily.com, the world’s largest independent Internet news source, today begins his “world book tour” to promote the release of his paperback edition of “Taking America Back.”

And he’s doing it without ever leaving the confines of his ISDN-equipped, Washington-area office and radio studio.

“I’m accepting all media invitations to debate the great issues of our day,” said Farah, “as long as I can do it without leaving town.”

Farah says he is particularly interested in getting political conservatives to start thinking outside the box.

“I once considered myself a ‘conservative,’” said Farah. “No longer. Conservatives are, generally speaking, nice people. But they don’t have a clue as how to win struggles. They fight exclusively on defense. They let their enemies set the agenda. They are incapable of reclaiming or holding on to turf. Their entire agenda seems to me to be about forestalling an inevitable slide into tyranny. That’s not good enough for me.”

Farah is calling for a second American revolution in “Taking America Back.” His role models are the country’s Founding Fathers.

“George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, James Madison, John Adams – none of these men were ‘conservatives,’” says the Internet entrepreneur and radio talk-show host. “They were visionaries, radicals, men who pledged their lives, their fortunes and their sacred honor to the cause of freedom – and meant it.”

The author says it’s time for Americans who still share their dream of building and sustaining a “shining city on a hill” to mobilize as freedom fighters.

“It’s time to set our goals higher than defending against attacks,” he says. “It’s time to get beyond conservatism, beyond timidity, beyond compromise.”

That’s the message of “Taking America Back.” It’s a radical prescription to revive freedom, morality and justice.

“Conservatives love the Founding Fathers. But they don’t emulate them,” he says. “And embracing the goals and tactics of our Founders is the key to ‘Taking America Back.” We have a model for expanding freedom, morality and justice in America. It is what was accomplished in the War of Independence. It is spelled out in the Declaration of Independence and the U.S. Constitution.”

The book – endorsed by Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity, Dr. Laura Schlessinger and Paul Harvey – offers a 12-step plan to national recovery.

“We need a radical new movement of freedom lovers in this country,” he proclaims. “I don’t mean a political party. I mean a grass-roots movement that embraces God, family and country. We need a radical new movement that doesn’t fight for tax cuts, but tax elimination. We need a radical new movement that fights for individual liberty, personal freedom and social responsibility.”

Farah says this movement cannot start in Washington, D.C., with politicians.

“It needs to begin in the pulpits of America, just as our War of Independence did,” he says. “We need Christians on their knees and in the streets. We need uncompromising faith that we serve a sovereign God who still works in the affairs of men. We need a rebirth of ‘combat faith’ to begin turning this country around.”
