In my new book, “Stop the Presses: The Inside Story of the New Media Revolution,” I devote an entire chapter to documenting the unequivocally evil practices of the search giant Google.

Today, I want to illustrate to you just how rotten and contemptible the lying thieves who run that corporate monstrosity really are.

First of all, let’s say you invest in a series of billboards to promote your company or your product. And along comes another company that hijacks your billboards and replaces your messages with their own. What would you call that? How would you characterize people who would do something like that?

I think you would rightly call it theft. I think you would rightly characterize the perpetrators as thieves. And I don’t think you’d have much of a problem persuading law enforcement authorities to lock up the vandals who engaged in that kind of activity and throw away the key.

Allow me to let you in on a little secret: Google is doing just that on a massive scale.

No, Google is not defacing billboards belonging to others. Instead, Google, through its new toolbar, is hijacking the websites visited by its users and replacing their ads with Google ads.

Here’s an example of the way this practice works when applied to WND. A reader sent this to me because she was appalled at the kind of licentious ads WND was now accepting. Of course, the top two ads on this screen shot are not WND ads at all. The WND ads have been replaced by Google’s own. In other words, Google is making money by dumping WND’s ads for its own. It is also misleading the public into believing its disgusting ads are WND’s.

How insidious!

Of course, it’s not just WND being victimized like this. The same thing is happening to the DrudgeReport and any other website unfortunate enough to be wrapped inside Google’s new toolbar by end users. There’s not a thing WND or other victims can do about it except explain to offended readers what Google is doing.

Well, let me take that back. There may be something WND can do, if we can find the right legal talent out there to challenge Google – and make that evil company pay.

I would like to do that.

I’d like to do it not just for the sake of WND and other websites that have been ripped off by Google.

I’d like to do it also for the Chinese Internet community that has been denied access to the same content you and I can read on the Internet thanks to Google’s cooperation with the tyrants in Beijing.

I’d like to do it for the people of Taiwan who had their country virtually wiped off the face of Google Earth maps in another form of appeasement to Chinese tyranny.

I’d like to do it for everyone whose personal privacy has been invaded by Google’s efforts to gather so much information about users that Chief Executive Officer Eric Schmidt hopes soon to be able to provide meaningful career counseling to users or answer the question: “What shall I do tomorrow?”

I’d like to do it for all those exposed inadvertently to pornography because of Google’s basic sense of corporate immorality.

I could go on and on here, but I would be repeating myself. I have explained why Google is thoroughly and indisputably evil in “Stop the Presses.”

Are there any brave, courageous, astute and David-like attorneys out there who would like to right at least one of the wrongs perpetrated by this evil Goliath of the Internet?

Let me know. I’m holding the stones and the sling.
