Huckabee ad: Chuck Norris my U.S. 'security plan'

Chuck Norris “tells America how it’s going to be” in a new tongue-in-cheek campaign ad by surging Republican presidential candidate Mike Huckabee, who experienced a spike in donations just days after the former “Walker: Texas Ranger” star wrote a WND column endorsing him.
The 60-second spot, Huckabee’s first television ad in his bid for the White House, will begin airing in Iowa today, according to his campaign. It opens with the announcement of “An important policy message from Mike Huckabee.”
Then comes Huckabee deadpanning: “My plan for securing the border, two words: Chuck Norris.”
Huckabee and Norris go back and forth with “Huckchuckfacts,” playing on the Internet phenomenon of one-liners about Norris labeled not as jokes but as “facts.”
NORRIS: Mike Huckabee is a lifelong hunter who will protect our Second Amendment rights
HUCKABEE: There is no chin behind Chuck Norris’ beard, only another fist.
NORRIS: Mike Huckabee wants to put the IRS out of business.
HUCKABEE: When Chuck Norris does a pushup, he isn’t lifting himself up, he’s pushing the Earth down.
NORRIS: Mike’s a principled, authentic conservative.
HUCKABEE: Chuck Norris doesn’t endorse, he tells America how it’s going to be.
HUCKABEE: I’m Mike Huckabee and I approve this message. So did Chuck.
NORRIS: Chuck Norris approved.
In his column endorsing Huckabee, Norris pointed to the former Arkansas governor’s qualifications in comparison to the front-runners.
“Though Giuliani might be savvy enough to lead people, Fred Thompson wise enough to wade through the tides of politics, McCain tough enough to fight terrorism, and Romney business-minded enough to grow our economy, I believe the only one who has all of the characteristics to lead America forward into the future is ex-Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee,” Norris wrote.
Norris has been writing his weekly column exclusively for WND since Oct. 23, 2006. He recently was listed as one of the most influential conservatives in the U.S. in a survey by the London Telegraph.
In September, Huckabee took the top position in a straw poll conducted at the groundbreaking Values Voter Presidential Debate where candidates were asked their positions on abortion, terrorism, free speech, free exercise of religion and other significant issues.
In an interview with WND, Huckabee said war on terror won’t end in a draw, and the U.S. must continue its fight.
“There’s no peaceful co-existence, there’s no accommodation, there’s no na?ve nonsense that if we leave them alone they leave us alone. This is a war someone will win and someone will lose,” he told WND in the one-on-one discussion.
