People obsessed with CO2 and greenhouse gasses as though they are pollutants, who stubbornly cling to the mythology that man is responsible for global warming and who proudly fancy that we can remedy the situation, are actually facilitating the polluting of our planet.
Don Cherry on CBC Sports’ “Coach’s Corner” said he saw Al Gore walking into last Saturday’s hockey game with David Suzuki, the household name in Canadian science. Surprise, surprise!
Years ago, shortly after the United Nations and its liberal Democrat puppet and partner, Al Gore, met in Rio De Janeiro to concoct the phony crisis, I was warning people that Kyoto proponents would then proceed to dole out generous grants to people like Susuki and others of questionable integrity to facilitate implementation of their monetary, eco-tax/carbon-tax ends. While scientists who object to the dissemination of outright fabrication and climate untruths based on faulty computer models are denied funding, the compliant Susuki types are richly rewarded for their part in convincing the public that we have an alarming crisis on our hands.
The financial success of the U.N. and its other socialist organs depends on effectively blaming people for “climate change.” The perpetrators cleverly capitalize on people’s genuine desire to address real “pollution,” so when they are bilked via taxation and regulation after having been deceived and flattered into submission, having had their sympathies played upon by visually captivating propaganda, like oxen to the slaughter they will put up little resistance.
But, all the while, there is an unrecognized glaring reality illustrating how most people have been obviously conned. Because of the desperate zeal cultivated in them, they accept verbatim only that which other climate-scare believers and vested-interest media influences bombard them with on a daily basis. Even for small businesses, the climate scare has become such a cash cow that they obsequiously slide “carbon neutral” and “carbon friendly” into product advertising.
Regardless of any cyclical climate changes which have been occurring for thousands of years – Vikings farmed Greenland – the greenhouse gasses, carbon dioxide, water vapor, methane (natural gas) and chlorofluorohydrocarbons do not constitute pollution.
Here is a short list of some of the contaminants of diesel exhaust that really do qualify as extremely carcinogenic pollutants: sulfur trioxide, dioxin, acetaldehyde, formaldehyde, butadiene, acrolein, soot and 35 others. Dioxin, acetaldehyde and formaldehyde have been linked to breast cancer. If any of these were present in a unionized shop, workers would be forced to wear respirators!
Carbon tax on fuel will have no effect on the sale of diesel fuel nor on these contaminants; in fact, the sale of diesel vehicles is burgeoning because any direct attention to pollution reality has been effectively distracted by this insane fixation on the CO2 of greenhouse gasses.
But ah yes, we’re going “green” now by leaving our pollution control-equipped car at home and riding a diesel bus. Meanwhile, CO2 that plants can’t get too much of and that keeps them green, green, green and healthy, has been stigmatized as a pollutant. Wake up, people! How on earth does “going green” necessitate raging on about what a pollutant the veritable building block of plant life (carbon dioxide) is?
And no … not one of the chemical contaminants in diesel exhaust or from foul-burning, old gasoline beaters mysteriously mutates into CO2 or water vapor or methane to become contributing factors in the “catastrophic” warming of the atmosphere. In fact, the temperature has flat-lined since 1998, and the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change knows this.
Equally frustrating in all of this is that in global warming believers’ minds, if one is not on their bandwagon screaming that the seas are rising to swallow us up, then that nonbeliever is presumed to be against non-polluting fuel technologies. I guess that is somewhat understandable given that American conservatives – who reject global warming bunk – generally pay lip service at best to alternate fuel technologies.
But if everyone is going to let themselves be led down this sham climate-crisis path paved with taxpayer gold, then nonpolluting fuels like natural gas will continue to be wrongly demonized along with burning oil, because the products of the combustion of natural gas are, you guessed it – carbon dioxide and water vapor.
In a nutshell, the fabricated global warming crisis is all about one thing:
Expanding government and giving it more and more control over private sector industry while turning plentiful CO2 into gold.
Even after reading the following impressive partial list of collaborators in “The Great Global Warming Swindle” documentary, propaganda has rendered some people’s capacity for common sense so blinded by their passion, they’ll strongly resist giving this video their undivided attention.
- Dr. John Christy, professor of atmospheric science and director of the Earth System Science Center, University of Alabama
- Dr. Paul Reiter, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and Pasteur Institute, Paris
- Dr. Patrick Michaels, Department of Environmental Science, University of Virginia
- Dr. Syun-lchi Akasofu, director, International Arctic Research Center
- Dr. Fredrick Singer, first director, U.S. National Weather Satellite Service
- Dr. Richard Lindzen, Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change and Massachusetts Institute of Technology
- Dr. Tim Ball, former professor of climatology, University of Winnipeg
- Dr. Niz Shaviv, Professor of Physics, Hebrew University of Jerusalem
- Dr. Ian Clark, professor, Department of Earth Sciences, University of Ottawa
- Dr. Patrick Moore, co-founder of Green Peace
The left is dead wrong in championing the global warming cause, but correct to champion already existing non-polluting technology. Tragically, they have been led to believe that the two issues are related!
