Scene from ‘O.B.A.M. Nude’

NEW YORK – The makers of a “mock-mentary” film premiering this month say their purpose is to “strip bare” the 44th president and his intentions for America.

Mirroring President Obama’s career, “O.B.A.M. Nude,” which stands for “Occidental Births a Monster,” tells the satirical tale of a freshman at Occidental College in Los Angeles who makes a deal with the devil. In exchange, the main character, O.B.A.M., gets admitted to Columbia University, becomes a community organizer in Chicago, attends Harvard Law School and rises to the presidency of the United States.

Andrew Gause, co-author, co-producer and a principal actor, told WND the idea for the film began developing during the 2008 presidential campaign when the town of Hawthorne, N.J., told him he had to remove a “Ron Paul for President” sign from his lawn.

Kenneth Del Vecchio, a filmmaker and Gause’s attorney, came up with the idea that the two should make a movie.

“It was Kenny’s idea to call the movie ‘O.B.A.M. Nude’ because we wanted to strip the man bare,” Gause explained.

“We wanted a title that stands out,” Del Vecchio told WND in a telephone interview. “We wanted to expose Obama as man who is looking to turn our country in a socialist direction. My greatest concern about our president is that he wants government to control people’s lives.”

The New York Post published the trailer for the film, which premieres May 30 at the Hoboken International Film Festival in New Jersey. The trailer also is embedded here:

At Occidental College, the loner O.B.A.M. snorts cocaine and smokes marijuana, secretly hoping to one day become someone important.

His dream comes true when Satan appears and promises him a scheme that ends in the White House.

Once president, O.B.A.M. transforms the once mighty USA into a communist fiefdom, ruled by an enigmatic dictator.

O.B.A.M.’s rise begins with a transfer from Occidental to the Ivy League prestige of Columbia University, then law school at Harvard, culminating with his introduction to a satanic ally – a Chicago preacher.

The “Righteous Reverend” serves as the budding leader’s uncle and mentor, even performing the young man’s marriage and baptizing his children.

In one scene, Gause, who plays Satan, offers a tray of deviled eggs to O.B.A.M., played by Del Vecchio, as a context for a discussion on abortion in which O.B.A.M. is encouraged “to keep those mass murders going.”

“We don’t stop war, we love it,” the devil explains to O.B.A.M. “As president, you will talk about stopping war, you will act like you’re stopping war, but your real goal is to declare war.

“We need to destroy the capital we create, otherwise the worthlessness of money would soon be revealed,” the devil insists.

Del Vecchio described himself as “a guy who grew up in the most middle of middle class.”

“I worked hard to accomplish my dreams,” he said. “I can attribute what I have to free enterprise. If capitalism didn’t exist, what’s the point? It frightens me to think people in socialist countries are not able to benefit economically from what they create.”

Del Vecchio and Gause personally financed the movie with a cash budget in the range of $200,000.

Gause is a numismatic dealer and Del Vecchio has written two books on criminal law, one for New Jersey and the other for New York.

Since 1998, Del Vecchio has written, directed and produced four feature films in addition to “O.B.A.M. Nude.”
