Sumpter, whose show is heard on nearly 70 stations nationwide, came to political commentary via the beaches of Southern California and the jungles of Vietnam. Raised in the Los Angeles area as an avid surfer, Sumpter joined the Marine Corps in 1966 and served a 20-month tour of duty in Southeast Asia.
A mentor in the broadcasting industry, Sumpter has served as a disc jockey, program director, general manager, executive vice-president of a group of broadcast stations and part owner of a radio station. He started his current radio show in 2003 at K-TALK Radio in Salt Lake City, Utah.
Sumpter is also an entreprenuer, having owned several companies in the high-tech sector, including one that served the broadcast industry and another that employed cutting-edge technology for Internet marketing endeavors and strategies.
Syndicated by the IRN-USA Radio Network, Sumpter’s radio show airs from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. Eastern Monday through Friday and is available for listening online.
