Those of us in who have studied the sciences are familiar with big numbers. For instance, Avogadro’s number is the number of atoms in a quantity of an element known as a mole. For Carbon 12, there would be one mole in 12 grams of Carbon and that would contain Avogadro’s number of atoms. This number is unbelievably large: 602,000,000,000,000,000,000,000. A Googol (not Google) is the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. Another familiar constant is the speed of light, which is 299,790,000 meters per second. Traveling at this speed light can cross the U.S. in .026 seconds.
I propose a name for a new constant in economics to represent the sum of $1 trillion ($1,000,000,000,000): the “Obama’s Number.” All three are of unimaginable scale. The first two were created by God and discovered by scientists, the third is a conceptualization. The fourth was created by Chairman Obama and will be imposed on us all.
Let’s look to the words of some great historical figures for wisdom.

Even President Obama admits that the debt is unsustainable! Let’s see, he admits his spending is unsustainable but he continues to promote it. Why does this make no sense to me? Mr. Obama certainly is not economically competent, but does he seem psychologically sound given this convoluted reasoning? Even without further spending on remaking health care, “Obamanomics” will pile up almost $10 trillion in deficits over the next decade. Mr. Obama argues that he must transform health care, citing that costs had doubled over the preceding eight years, rising 3.7 times faster than wages. Yet with wages decreasing by 1.8 percent last year, he tripled the deficit in less than 90 days in office, with a rate of rise nearly exponentially faster than that of wages.
His actions speak of a man who does not think in a logically concordant manner, misrepresents the data to suit his own purposes and cannot control his spending impulses. In medical terminology, he has a “problem” with his left pre-frontal lobe. Vice President Joe Biden has similar problems, but with all of his lobes. Speaker Pelosi likely has no lobes at all, judging from her memory of CIA briefings. The disastrous consequences to the economy as a whole of this fiscal folly are beyond the understanding of this mere physician and should be left to those with a Ph.D. in economics, or homemakers. Even so, let us look at some basic facts.
Americans earning more than $200,000 per year provide most of the jobs in this country and most of the tax revenue. Those in the “top 5 percent” pay 60 percent of the taxes. The top one-fifth of households earned 56 percent of pre-tax income but paid 86 percent of the taxes. Obama’s plan for income redistribution and government-run health care will destroy businesses and bankrupt the country. Liberals are literally biting the hand that feeds them, and there is a point at which the more productive members of society will not go along. Now, more than ever, the spirits of our Founding Fathers demand a response. If we do not act, the liberals will create a “povertistocracy” wherein those receiving handouts will so outnumber the productive citizens that society will crumble.
This country was established principally because of taxation without representation. If our Founding Fathers could see what is happening under taxation with representation, they would want to re-join Britain. President Obama now wants to raise taxes on health insurance in order to pay for health insurance! When he was at Harvard, did he ever take a course in elementary physics or mathematics? At least trickledown economics makes some scientific sense. Water does not run uphill, so how will trickle up economics work? Mr. Obama has shown that he needs a teleprompter to speak effectively, but it’s obvious that he also needs an “arithmeticoprompter” to do simple math. Two plus two cannot equal eight. Mr. Obama and company, please do the math!

Lincoln understood the true meaning of charity for all. Not income redistribution by stealing from those who worked hard to succeed, but an attitude of good will toward all and actions that seek to help the disadvantaged rise up rather than creating a perpetually dependent underclass.

All hard-working, Constitution-loving Americans must unite to peacefully oppose this effort to destroy our country, for we are all in the same sinking ship. The U.S. revolution did not pit rich against poor. The rich and poor struggled together to ensure freedom for all; freedom to succeed based upon hard work, not the right to plunder the fruits of the labor of others. Equal opportunity does not guarantee equal outcomes, and people of good will from all economic strata understand this. Obama seems to want class warfare, but we all need to stick together in opposition to tyranny, as advised by Mr. Franklin.
At another very dark time in the history of the world, Winston Churchill was hoping for a change of heart in the U.S. when he said: “Americans can always be counted on to do the right thing … after they have exhausted all other possibilities.” Let’s not prove Mr. Churchill right yet again.
Mr. Obama is committed to change. I am not a psychiatrist, but given the strong evidence that his thinking is out of touch with reality, perhaps he should just be committed.
