John Stossel

John Stossel, longtime ABC News investigative journalist who recently joined the Fox Business Network, is the latest columnist to join WND’s lineup of commentators.

Stossel, whose column will be featured each Wednesday on WorldNetDaily’s commentary page, was an anchor on ABC News’ “20/20” program for six years, serving as a reporter on the show for 24 years before that. His popular “Give Me a Break” segment challenged conventional wisdom in the culture and media. Describing his thinking as “libertarian,” Stossel brings a unique perspective that champions free-market economics and civil liberties.

“The most consistently thought-provoking TV reporter of our time,” opined the Dallas Morning News. The Orlando Sentinel says Stossel “has the gift for entertaining while saying something profound.”

Stossel’s weekly column “pokes fun at the ridiculous and lauds the excellent,” according to Creators Syndicate.

Stossel will join Fox officially next month, with his weekly program, “Stossel,” debuting sometime in the fourth quarter of the year.

The recipient of 19 Emmy Awards, Stossel has been honored five times for excellence in consumer reporting by the National Press Club. Among his other awards are the George Polk Award for Outstanding Local Reporting and the George Foster Peabody Award.

Stossel is a graduate of Princeton University, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology.
