For Thanksgiving dinner.

A woman was digging through her freezer not long before Thanksgiving, when she discovered a long-forgotten Butterball-brand turkey in the deep freeze.
She vacillated, uncertain if the turkey would still be good to eat, until she spied a 1-800 number on the packaging inviting questions on how to prepare the bird.
The woman called the number and was put in touch with Butterball's baking specialist.
"Is a turkey that has sat in the freezer for a while still good to eat?" she asked.
"Turkeys often keep well," the specialist responded. "How old is it?"
"Twenty-three years," the woman answered.
After recovering from the shock, the specialist replied, "Well, as long as it's been at a consistently hard freeze the entire time, you probably could serve it. But I'd have to warn you, any turkey kept frozen more than six months typically grows tough and dry. Twenty-three years? I wouldn't recommend it."
"That's what I was afraid of," the woman said. "I guess I'll just donate it to my church."
