While our attention is diverted by continuing assaults on our freedom through Obamacare, cap-and-tax, bowing to our enemies and systematic takeover of private institutions by this regime, the unceasing “ENDA-round” continues against our moral foundations.
With the victory of adding “sexual orientation” and “perceived gender identity” to federal hate-crimes protected classes still hanging freshly upon their scalp pole, the Marxist-driven Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, Transgender, There-Are-No-Limits movement is rushing forward to their next prey.
As the radical sexual-diversity jihad in Congress pushes the Employment Non-Discrimination Act (ENDA) – again – as a direct frontal assault on freedom, religious faith, the traditional family and basic moral decency, we are also fighting against the perversion of military readiness by the Obama/Gates/Mullen plan to throw the doors open to open sexual deviancy in our armed services.
Thank the Lord we have some courageous military leaders like Lt. Gen. Benjamin Mixon (Army’s Pacific commander) and Marine Commandant Gen. James Conway speaking out, jeopardizing their futures to do so. We need thousands more pastors willing to do both.

What we are witnessing is a tragic, national version of “Girls Gone Wild” playing out in our schools, our culture and, of course, our government.
For example, it came as a surprise to many citizens in Houston (it should not have) that city and county taxpayers’ dollars have been and are being used to promote a program called “My Gay Houston” as part of the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau. Other major cities are doing the same. Lesbian Mayor Annise Parker has gone above and beyond to now extend protection through executive orders to “gender identity” and “gender expression.”
Keep your wives and daughters out of Houston city restrooms.
Would it be that the Christian church had been equally as committed over the past 50 years instead of moving toward the moral confusion exemplified by Jim Wallis of Sojourners in an interview with Christianity Today:
… I don’t have all the answers on homosexuality. Fifty years from now, when we understand more what’s going on, we’ll look back and we’ll ask: How did we treat gay and lesbian people?
With all due respect, Rev. Wallis, just read the Bible and assume that God means what He says. He gives you the answers.
We have major evangelical figures like Joel Osteen who can’t seem to find biblical clarity on absolute truth, thereby leading hundreds of thousands, possibly millions, of Christians into moral confusion. Why would we expect our national moral standards and policies to not follow likewise?
Let me urge you to take a brief quiz. Which of the following two lists more closely reflect the overall condition of America today?
OPTION 1 – sexual immorality, impurity of mind, sensuality, worship of false gods, witchcraft, hatred, quarreling, jealousy, bad temper, rivalry, factions, party-spirit, envy, drunkenness, orgies and things like that.
OPTION 2 – love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, generosity, fidelity, tolerance and self-control.
You may recognize those contrasts as from the Apostle Paul’s letter to the Galatian church (5:19-24). Bible Commentator Matthew Henry wrote about this passage that:
The works of the flesh are many and manifest. And these sins will shut men out of heaven. Yet what numbers, calling themselves Christians, live in these, and say they hope for heaven!
The Lord was not speaking through Paul to admonish Caesar. He was talking to His people who are called by His name. If we are courageous enough to be honest, we can review those lists and see ourselves in both. We can also see the American Christian church at large in both.
The evil of moral perversion is currently having a free reign through our choice of Barack Hussein Obama as president, liberal Democrats and weak Republicans in Congress, and lesbians like Annise Parker as mayor of Houston. We clearly do not have the latitude to withdraw from the battle and focus solely on rebuilding the biblical foundations of moral virtue in the church.
Congressional Democrats are railroading ENDA, which includes the following language, as reported by Chaplain Gordon Klingenschmitt:
ENDA Section 8.A.3. “CERTAIN SHARED FACILITIES- Nothing in this Act shall be construed to establish an unlawful employment practice based on actual or perceived gender identity due to the denial of access to shared shower or dressing facilities in which being seen unclothed is unavoidable, provided that the employer provides reasonable access to adequate facilities that are not inconsistent with the employee’s gender identity as established with the employer at the time of employment or upon notification to the employer that the employee has undergone or is undergoing gender transition, whichever is later.”
We must stand boldly, declare God’s standard of morality for the good of the people and take back the ground that has been yielded to the forces of spiritual darkness by cleaning house at every level of government, education, media and the arts. However, as it will be with God’s judgment, we must start in the house of God.
If the fruits of the Spirit (Option 2 listed above) would shine brightly out of MORE churches, MORE Christian homes and MORE Christian citizens, we can not only win the battle but also the war, if He so wills it.
