Stop funding sworn enemy of Israel!

I promised myself this week I would not write about anything involving President Barack Hussein Obama. I even avoided watching him on TV or listening to the radio. I really tried. However, the president makes it almost impossible to avoid his foolish behavior.
This week our beloved leader announced his support for the Palestinian people in the form of an additional $70 million in aid to the West Bank and Gaza. This brings the total aid pledged to date to $400 million for the Palestinians and by extension their leaders.
Has the president lost his mind?
In 2005, Israel left Gaza in the hope that the Palestinians truly wanted peace. They were rewarded with thousands of rockets fired from Gaza into Israeli civilian neighborhoods and terrorist attacks against innocent men, women and children. What a nice thank-you gift.
In 2006, Palestinians went to the polls and rejected the more moderate Fatah party in favor of Hamas. For years Hamas has been known for ruthless and relentless terrorist attacks against the nation of Israel.
They live for the day when Israel is driven into the sea and obliterated from the earth.
Yet our president promises aid to the Palestinian people who willingly elected and are living under the leadership of a group sworn to kill one of our only allies in the region.
To quote Mr. Obama, “At the same time, we’re doing so in a way that allows the people in Gaza to live out their aspirations and their dreams both for themselves and their children. And that’s something that we’re going to spend a lot of time focusing on, and we’ve already begun some hardheaded discussions with the Israelis in achieving that.”
Is our president just saying this to gain cred on the Arab street, or is he truly going to help the people of Gaza “live out their aspirations and their dreams both for themselves and their children”? If he is serious, maybe a closer look at those aspirations and dreams are in order.
The Hamas charter, the group the Palestinians choose to run their country, declares, “Israel will exist and will continue to exist until Islam will obliterate it, just as it obliterated others before it” (the martyr, Imam Hassan al-Banna, of blessed memory).
Wow! Did the Palestinians know this when they elected Hamas? I know they are not very educated, but they cannot be this ignorant if they truly want peace with Israel.
The charter also states, “There is no solution for the Palestinian question except through jihad. Initiatives, proposals and international conferences are all a waste of time and vain endeavors.”
So I guess it is safe to say Mr. Obama can do all the talking he would like, but the Palestinian leaders view those efforts as a waste of time. Maybe this is why the “hardheaded discussions” will be directed at the Israelis. Hamas could care less to listen.
Another lovely section of the Hamas charter contains this hadith: “The Day of Judgment will not come about until Muslims fight the Jews (killing the Jews), when the Jew will hide behind stones and trees. The stones and trees will say O Muslims, O Abdulla, there is a Jew behind me, come and kill him. Only the Gharkad tree, would not do that because it is one of the trees of the Jews” (related by al-Bukhari and Muslim).
Isn’t that nice coming from the wonderful folks from the religion of peace?
So let’s see if I have this straight: Our president, the leader of the free world, wants to give $400 million we don’t have to a group of people who have voluntarily elected leaders who openly promote the killing of Jews? Mr. Obama wants to support those dreams with your tax dollars while at the same time negotiating for peace in the Middle East?
Hamas, the Palestinians and many other Arabs believe it is a promise of Allah to wipe out the Jews. They aspire to see that promise come to pass. Is Mr. Obama sure he wants to see their dream come true?
When will this president take the time to think before he speaks or acts? More frightening to me is that he has thought this out and is willing to support a group of people sworn to the destruction of a sovereign nation and its people.
Not only should the leader of the free world condemn such language, he should also demand the unconditional inspection of any material going into the Gaza that may help assist in Hamas’ dream for its people.
I thought by the end of 2001 most of the world, short of maybe some from the religion of peace, condemned acts of terrorism. That terrorism would not be tolerated and any person or country who supported terrorism would be seen as an enemy of the world?
Apparently when Mr. Obama took power, that all changed.
I won’t belabor the reckless and inept actions we have seen from this president. Mr. Obama does not act like a president, so why should we expect anything more?
To watch him take a bow for obtaining U.N. sanctions on Iran, with Turkey and Brazil voting “no” and Lebanon abstaining, is comical. Mr. Bush passed three unanimous (15-0) votes for U.N. security-council sanctions and never said a word. That is the job of the president. Only Mr. Obama could pat himself on the back for getting sanctions the sanctioned leaders view as meaningless.
It is time for Mr. Obama to stop making the news cycle and start making the tough decisions necessary to lead the free world. He has to stop belittling and apologizing for America and start defending her and her allies. He must start calling terrorism what it is.
Or maybe he didn’t get the memo that he actually is the president. I still think it is all a bad dream. Maybe he feels the same. I know what my dreams and aspirations are: for November to come quickly.
