The homo con continues

The Republicans and “conservatives” are now lining up to support GOProud’s “Homocon” event in New York next month – now that Ann Coulter has accepted the keynote speaker role.
Venture capitalist, libertarian and PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel will host a Homocon party at his home in New York.
Sponsors for the Homocon event now include:
Suffice it to say, I told you so.
I told you this event was aptly named. It literally represents the homo conning of the Republican Party and the conservative movement.
This is exactly what I was warning about when we made the decision to drop Ann Coulter from the presenters at the “Taking American Back National Conference” in Miami – one week before this Homocon event. This is shaping up to be a significant turning point for the late-great conservative movement and the Republican Party.
If ever there were a time for Republicans and conservatives to stand up and be counted, this is it.
So far, as far as I can see, I am the only high-profile national personality to warn of the serious threat this radical group poses to confused Republicans and conservatives apparently not well-grounded enough in biblical values and the very meaning of the word “conservative.”
When I said Ann Coulter was giving validation to this group, this is what I meant. She has opened the floodgates for participation and support for a group that favors:
The acceptance of Homocon began last year when CPAC, the largest annual gathering of conservatives in Washington, accepted a co-sponsorship by GOProud – apparently eagerly trading off appearances by Sarah Palin and Sean Hannity and co-sponsorships by other conservative groups that had long supported the conference.
Now we know why.
CPAC director DePasquale is obviously a big supporter of the GOProud, having lent her own name, and the notoriety she has gained from that job, to sign on with the group.
“The movement in general has been supportive of lots of different groups,” she said. “Part of it has to do with younger generations of people now running the other [conservative] groups, and I think that probably helps. Most people seem to be OK with it.”
We are witnessing the destruction of Washington’s conservative establishment before our eyes.
And what a time for capitulation – on the very brink of the biggest electoral mid-term congressional victory in modern American history!
Again, I repeat: I’m not seeing anyone of prominence in the Republican Party or the conservative movement standing up to this wholesale retreat on some fundamental conservative issues.
Where are you, folks?
Where are the other high-profile conservatives and Republicans who recognize what’s happening here?
Am I the only one willing to stand up for marriage as an institution of one man and one woman?
Am I the only one willing to stand up for a U.S. military unencumbered by perverse social experiments?
Am I the only one willing to stand up for liberty as a gift of God?
This kind of appeasement of the open celebration of sin represents the camel’s nose under the “big tent” that some conservatives and Republicans are so hell-bent on building.
There is a way that every non-celebrity conservative and Republican who recognizes this capitulation by the conservative establishment in Washington for what it is can stand up and be counted.
Join me in Miami for what has been planned as an alternative to this kind of surrender – the “Taking America Back National Conference” Sept. 16-18.
Stand up proudly for marriage, freedom and national security with me.
