Dems 'flush public schools farther down the toilet'

California state lawmaker Mark Leno

Majority Democrats in the California legislature have given another thumbs-up to a “sexual brainwashing” plan that would require public school students to believe transgenders, bisexuals, homosexuals and those with other alternative sexual lifestyles are role models to be admired.

That’s even though the state already has a long list of sexual indoctrination laws that apply to public schools and their students, and one key family organization, SaveCalifornia.com, says the circumstances are the product of a Democrat majority in the statehouse – and further, it’s time for parents to move their children out.

“Life has consequences. This is what parents get with the Democrats,” said SaveCalifornia.com President Randy Thomasson. “It’s what they get with the teacher unions. It’s what they get by believing the lie that people are born ‘gay,’ when they’re not. Or that this is a harmless lifestyle.

“This is what parents get when they place their children in the government school system and say that they have no other options,” he continued. “Parents are seeing the tip of the iceberg in SB 48, and they need to wake up to the fact that the public school they went to as a child no longer exists.

“Government schools in California are mandated by more than half a dozens laws already to bring children to think that homosexual, bisexual and transsexual [lifestyles are] good and natural and maybe even for them,” he said.

“The battle against this latest in-your-face sexual indoctrination of LGBTIQ role models is not so much about fighting a mere bill, but about turning on the light for fathers and mothers to realize they need to permanently exit the government system and place their children into the safe havens of church schools or homeschooling,” he said.

The plan, SB 48, is sponsored by state Sen. Mark Leno. Openly homosexual, Leno boasts on his website of founding a business with his “life partner, Douglas Jackson,” who later died of AIDS complications.

Earlier, it was approved – on a party-line vote with majority Democrats supporting the indoctrination – in the Senate Education Committee. Now it’s been approved, on a similarly divided vote, in the Senate Judiciary Committee.

The plan still has several votes pending before it would go to Gov. Jerry Brown, but Thomasson’s organization, which also runs the RescueYourchild.com website that advocates removing children from public schools, says it’s time for action.

“California laws have changed so radically in the last few years, your child WILL be sexually indoctrinated and subjected to very negative influences if left in the government school system,” the site explains. “Take action Rescue your child now, before it’s too late.”

On the group’s Facebook page were comments on this and related issues.

“I never in a million years would have thought I’d be homeschooling. My kids attended school in 2 different states and no issues, great grades and attitudes. 2 months after starting school in CA it’s been all downhill. The teachers, principals, school boards, they don’t care. It’s ALL about the ‘California Standard,’ which I’ve found to be whatever the teacher wants to teach,” wrote Jill.

From the organization’s incoming e-mail was one from Darcie, “It is NOT the school’s business to be teaching moral issues! A person’s sexual preference has absolutely NOTHING to do with teaching children academics. It is the parents’ responsibility to teach their children morals/values.”

The latest proposal is being shoved forward by Equality California, an organization that advocates for homosexuality, and on his state website, Leno expressed his worry: “Most textbooks don’t include any historical information about the LGBT movement, which has great significance to both California and U.S. history.

“Our collective silence on this issue perpetuates negative stereotypes of LGBT people and leads to increased bullying of young people. We can’t simultaneously tell youth that it’s OK to be yourself and live an honest, open life when we aren’t even teaching students about historical LGBT figures or the LGBT equal rights movement,” he said.

He said it is confirmed that where schools promote homosexual lifestyles, those who exhibit that lifestyle “are treated more fairly by their teachers and peers.”

Thomasson has pointed out the statements reveal the real agenda: of promoting alternative sexual lifestyles as goals. He noted that the idea that being silent on the issue – or not including information in textbooks – now is being perceived as reflecting negatively on the lifestyle.

Already, the state has implemented laws that provide homosexual-bisexual-transssexual indoctrination by banning in all school teachings, classes, materials, seminars and events anything negative about such lifestyles.

The California schools also provide “confidential” abortion referrals and off-campus “counseling” for students without letting their parents know. There also are programs to distribute condoms and birth control, once again without parental knowledge.

The new plan, SB 48, “is sexual brainwashing in the extreme,” Thomasson said. “It’s damaging and nonacademic to teach children a lie – that homosexuality, bisexuality, and transsexuality, are natural and healthy lifestyles, when they’re not.”

If SB becomes law, he said, textbooks and other materials must “positively promote” alternative sexual lifestyle choices to children as young as six years of age.

The plan also would require “particular emphasis on portraying the role of these groups in contemporary society,” which suggests a requirement that students support the political activism of those agendas.

Those choices also must be positively characterized, as being silent could be construed as “reflecting adversely.”

“The social engineers are already having their way with more than six million boys and girls, with or without SB 48,” Thomasson said. “That’s why we strongly urge loving parents to rescue their children by permanently removing them from government schools.”

“We call on Gov. Brown to prepare to veto this bad bill that greatly disturbs parents, confuses kids, and would flush public schools father down the toilet.”

It was just two years ago when SaveCalifornia.com launched the RescueYourChild.com effort to encourage parents to withdraw their children from public schools because of such indoctrination.

That followed work by the legislature and then-Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger to establish Senate Bill 777 and Assembly Bill 394 as law. Those institutionalized the promotion of homosexuality, bisexuality, transgenderism and other alternative lifestyle choices by banning any “adverse” references in schools.

Homosexual former San Francisco leader Harvey Milk

At the time, officials said SB 777 “functionally requires public school instructional materials and school-sponsored activities to positively portray cross-dressing, sex-change operations, homosexual ‘marriages,’ and all aspects of homosexuality and bisexuality, including so-called ‘gay history.’”

The second bill, AB 394, “requires public schools to distribute controversial material to teachers, students, and parents which promotes transsexuality, bisexuality, and homosexuality, all under the guise of ‘anti-harassment’ training.”

Those laws ban in any school texts, events, class or activities any discriminatory bias against those who have chosen alternative sexual lifestyles, according to Meredith Turney, legislative liaison for Capitol Resource Institute.

But there are no similar protections for students with traditional or conservative lifestyles and beliefs. Offenders will face the wrath of the state Department of Education, up to and including lawsuits.

California also has mandated that public schools honor Harvey Milk – a homosexual activist and reported sexual predator, as well as an advocate for Jim Jones, leader of the massacred hundreds in Jonestown, Guyana.

SaveCalifornia.com led a statewide battle against “Harvey Milk Day” before California Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger signed the S.B. 572.

The bill designates May 22 – Milk’s birthday – a date of “special significance” and encourages all California public schools to “conduct suitable commemorative exercises … remembering the life of Harvey Milk and recognizing his accomplishments as well as the contributions he made to this state.”
