As a former sportscaster, I am somewhat familiar with how the oddsmakers gather statistics to make sure the spread on various sporting events is even. You simply cannot come out ahead betting against them.
There are 50 states in this country. What are the odds that the first woman to come forward with tawdry details of a distasteful encounter with presidential candidate Herman Cane lives in the state that elevated Barack Obama to the U.S. Senate? I’m just asking.
There are some 1,300 municipalities in the state of Illinois, so what are the odds that Sharon Bialek lived in the same one as David Axelrod, the mastermind behind Obama’s rise to power. I’m just asking.
There are 131,704,730 housing units in the United States, so what are the odds that Bialek lived in the same apartment building as Axelrod? I’m just asking.
What are the odds, that a woman like Sharon Bialek, who has twice filed for bankruptcy, had a child out of wedlock, can’t hold a job for very long, was fired from the National Restaurant Association, hasn’t been employed for two years and lives with an unemployed boyfriend was desperate for money? I’m just asking.
Mr. Cain was known to be a fair and generous CEO. Bialek may well have asked him for help and, given her history, didn’t receive any. What are the odds that she was holding a grudge? I’m just asking.
Given the number of employees Mr. Cain has had over the years, what are the odds that he would remember her? I’m just asking.
Ms. Bialek recently spoke to Mr. Cain at a tea-party event. She claims he remembered her. What are the odds that he went along with her claim just to be nice? I’m just asking.
What are the odds that this encounter was a set up? I’m just asking.
Make no mistake, sexual harassment is a serious charge, but the other claims against Cain, including the two that resulted in payout agreements from the National Restaurant Association, border on the ridiculous, such as, “He made a non-sexual gesture.” When does a non-sexual gesture constitute sexual harassment? It is no secret that large corporations routinely pay off employees making these charges rather than face the possibility of a lawsuit. It’s part of the cost of doing business.
Sexual harassment has become somewhat of a cottage industry in this country – a ticket to an unearned payout. This is unfortunate! It marginalizes the women who have and will make legitimate claims.
If the claims made against Cain while the CEO of the National Restaurant Association had in any way been legitimate, what are the odds that he would have been the one fired? I’m just asking.
One of the women who received a payoff from the NRA now has been identified and is holding a press conference. Karen Kraushaar, who was hired by the Clinton administration and now works for Obama, once tried to shake down the government using yet another charge of sexual impropriety. What are the odds? I’m just asking.
To date, there have been five women who have made unsubstantiated claims against Herman Cain. In politics, this is known as piling on. What are the odds that voters will begin to believe them? I’m just asking.
Obama, who has failed miserably as the nation’s CEO, is now in full campaign mode. He can’t run on his record. His only hope for survival is to raise doubts and dig up dirt on the GOP challenger. His surrogates are out openly attacking Mitt Romney, the presumed Republican nominee. What are the odds that the man Obama really fears is Herman Cain? What are the odds that the attacks against Cain are part of a carefully orchestrated covert campaign? I’m just asking.
In addition to being a black conservative, Herman Cain is an associate minister at Antioch Baptist Church in Atlanta. If there is anything the left hates worse than the former, it is a Christian who believes the Bible is the inspired world of God and seeks to live by its precepts.
To be sure, many men of God have fallen victim to sexual temptation and have been brought down by sexual sins. While other men might be forgiven a sexual transgression, a minister will not. Do you find it the least bit odd that the only Republican candidate to be accused of sexual harassment is a minister of God. What are the odds? I’m just asking.
