From the 1599 Geneva Bible to an exposé by author J.Y. Jones about the radical political agenda of the contemporary animal rights movement, from The Smallest Bible to the Holy Bible in giant print, it’s all available at The WND Superstore’s Bible and Bible study store.
The best of prices and the biggest of choices await visitors to the Superstore.
Among the popular items is the Geneva Bible, which arrived in America in 1620 when the Pilgrims arrived with a passion to advance the kingdom of Christ and a bright hope for the future.
The Geneva Bible, printed over 200 times between 1560 and 1644, was the most widely read and influential English Bible of the 16th and 17th centuries. The superb translation was the product of the best Protestant scholars of the day and became the Bible of choice for many of the greatest writers, thinkers, and historical figures of that time.
Men such as Shakespeare, John Bunyan, and John Milton used the Geneva Bible, and it was reflected in their writings. During the English Civil War, Oliver Cromwell issued a pamphlet containing excerpts from the Geneva Bible to his troops. William Bradford cited the Geneva Bible in his book Of Plymouth Plantation.
The Geneva Bible is unique among all other Bibles. It was the first Bible to use chapters and numbered verses and became the most popular version of its time because of the extensive marginal notes. These notes, written by Reformation leaders such as John Calvin, John Knox, Miles Coverdale, William Whittingham, Anthony Gilby, and others, were included to explain and interpret the scriptures for the common people.
Also available is the King James Version from 1611, a work that this year celebrated its 400th birthday.
The original 1611 King James Bible has the authentic spellings, capitalization, and punctuation used by the translators themselves, before centuries of changes began to occur.
Set in Roman type for easy reading, it includes the marginal notes of the translators, the Apocrypha, and the full preface, “From the Translators to the Reader.”
The finest available Bible studies also are included in the store, such as “Time Travelers Of The Bible: How Hebrew Prophets Shattered The Barriers Of TimeSpace.”
Who hasn’t thought of travelling in time? It is perhaps the most alluring of all science-fiction scenarios, having attracted the imaginations of top writers and thinkers. They have been lured along the pathway of temporal imagination, seeking social perfection, lost love, lost fortunes and the riddles of philosophy. The convolutions of time conceal timeless truth.
Yet the vaults of time have been opened. There is one book that tops all the rest, when it comes to answering the unsolvable riddles of time. It is the Bible, built upon a framework of time that invisibly rests upon the twin pillars of the timeless past and the eternal future.
Its prophets are real men travelling in real time. Elijah departs in the days of Ahaz and Jezebel in the 9th century B.C., and returns at the time of Christ and His disciples. He is scheduled to appear again in our near future. John, the disciple closest to the heart of Jesus, walks through a dimensional door in our past and, travels to a time yet in our future, and returns to tell the world what he saw.
They see the end from the beginning, the rise and fall of evil and the final victory of love. They witness time’s symmetries and its circles … its multiple universes, its creatures and their conflicts, revealing that time is the pattern of redemption. They are the Prophets and Apostles, the world’s only documented time travelers.
Among the dozens of popular works also is “The Evidence Bible,” a project of Ray Comfort.
How do you respond when a coworker labels you intolerant for believing Jesus is the only way to God? How would you answer those who claim the Bible is filled with contradictions, or there is no absolute truth?
Newly revised and expanded, The Evidence Bible arms you not just with apologetic information to refute the arguments of skeptics, but with practical training on how to effectively and lovingly share the truth.
