(LONG BEACH PRESS-TELEGRAM) – The Long Beach Police Department put a security hold on the autopsy results of the 11-year-old girl who died Friday night following a fight with another 11-year-old girl, a coroner’s official said.

Because the security hold restricts access to the file, and is periodically requested by police departments during a death investigation, Los Angeles County Coroner investigator Jerry McKibben said he doesn’t know if the autopsy was completed – or when it will be – and or if a cause of death was determined.

At a news conference 9 p.m. Saturday night, Deputy Police Chief Robert Luna said the

autopsy had not yet been performed, and he didn’t know when it would be.
