(SMH) — The mother of a 21-year-old woman shot in the forehead says the bullet lodged in her brain is “not ever going to come out.”

Karen Carlson, the mother of shooting victim Renae Sullivan, spoke to the Nine Network yesterday about her grief as Adam Scott Murray, 26, of Berkeley, appeared in Wollongong Local Court yesterday, accused of shooting Ms. Sullivan on Wednesday night.

Sullivan was at home with her partner, 27, and four children when she went to answer a knock on her front door at the house on Fowlers Road, Dapto and was allegedly shot through a sealed window next to the door about 6.20pm.
