(LONDON TELEGRAPH) — Bosses behind the drama have been accused of mistreating their equine stars by animal rights group Peta, after two of them were put down after being injured during filming.
The horses were injured while racing on two separate occasions, one on the set of the pilot episode and the other during the filming of episode seven.
Kathy Guillermo, vice-president of the animal rights group Peta (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) suggested in Entertainment Weekly that the animals had not been treated properly on set.
