(THE HILL) — Secret Service agents stopped a man who attempted to “glitter bomb” Mitt Romney after his speech Wednesday night.

As Romney, who lost primary contests in Missouri and Minnesota, was shaking hands with supporters, a man approached and tried to throw glitter on him. Romney’s protective detail pulled the candidate back and escorted the protester out of the hall.

The Secret Service started protecting Romney last week. He is the only Republican candidate currently receiving protection.
