(SACRAMENTO BEE) — It’s another reminder that the casino industry isn’t immune to a weak economy.

Revenue at California Indian casinos dropped 3 percent in 2010, the latest figures available, according to a report released Tuesday.

The decline at California’s casinos occurred even as revenue at Indian casinos nationwide grew by 1.3 percent, said the report’s author, economist Alan Meister of Virginia consulting firm Nathan Associates Inc.
