OK, ladies, choose your weapons!

It seems the Obama team has done what Barack said they would do – if someone brings a knife to a fight, they’ll bring a gun.
In this case, the “gun” was carried by Obama operative/adviser Hilary Rosen and the “bullets” were words fired at the Mitt Romney campaign and specifically his wife, Ann Romney – stinging, cruel, insulting and demeaning words.
Rosen was on CNN, and the issue of Mrs. Romney came up because at one point Mr. Romney had said he listens to his wife about economic issues facing families, since Mrs. Romney is out on the campaign trail with him.
Because of that, she talks to voters and can gauge the concerns and worries of average Americans and, yes, average women, facing the daily challenges of survival. What those women tell Mrs. Romney is that they’re primarily concerned about the economy, jobs and the debt burden for their children.
Apparently for Democrats, those candidate-husband/wife conversations have no value because of the choices Mrs. Romney made as to how to live her personal life.
Yes, that’s right. Ann Romney made choices.
Don’t libs say they want women to have the right of choice?
What did Ann Romney do? She was raised well, went to college, fell in love, married, stayed married, had and raised five sons and supported her husband in his varied business and political endeavors, which were successful enough to enable the family a comfortable life.
Through all that, Ann Romney made a major overarching choice to stay home – i.e., not take an outside job – and take care of her family. She wanted to be a traditional wife and mother, and that’s exactly what she did and is doing.
Oh, and with all that, she was diagnosed with breast cancer and is a survivor, and she also has muscular sclerosis.
Put all of that together and you see a woman of extraordinary strength and resolve and energy and sense of purpose.
For Obama supporters, all that adds up to a major negative, and Hilary Rosen stepped right into it.
She dropped the bomb right on television: “Guess what? His wife has actually never worked a day in her life. She’s never really dealt with the kinds of economic issues that a majority of the women in this country are facing in terms of how do we feed our kids, how do we send them to school and why we worry about their future.”
The old line about names (words) not hurting clearly isn’t in the Obama re-election book. These words were chosen carefully – as the song from “South Pacific” said, in terms of hate, “… you have to be carefully taught.”
Hilary Rosen and the Obama team learned that lesson well and are teaching it to their foot soldiers with the goal of total destruction – not just of the candidate but his wife and family, and ultimately the entire political opposition, from Republican leaders to the most local tea-party supporters.
For Obama, feeling the sting of first-term failures and the real possibility of loss in November, all stops are being pulled out. For Obama, despite the smiles and promises and good-old-buddy attitudes with the “little people,” this is political war at its worst.
It’s the same tactic that was and continues to be used against Sarah Palin and Michele Bachmann – and quite frankly, any other woman who happens to be a Republican/conservative who presents a formidable political foe.
The Democrats exist in utter fear of an attractive, educated, articulate, successful, competitive woman who also is happily married, has children who are the center of her life and who also is successful in politics.
It’s a combination the libs can’t handle, so they haul out the heavy artillery to destroy her – not just her chances for election, but for all out personal destruction – targeting her life, choices, marriage and children.
For the Obama administration, which is practically choking on using the word “fairness” for just about everything they say they want to do, there’s not an iota of fairness in their political warfare.
And it is war, have no doubt. Just ask Palin or Bachmann.
Ann Romney didn’t miss a beat after the insult, responding in her Twitter account: “I made a choice to stay home and raise five boys. Believe me, it was hard work.”
It didn’t take long for it all to hit the fan and Rosen, after releasing a statement, pulled back from the frontal attack on traditional motherhood and even pulled out of weekend media appearances.
I guess the tough Ms. Rosen, who’s used to dishing it out, just couldn’t take the heat from the stupidity of her insults. She’s used to free rein to do and say what she will.
But woe to anyone who criticizes female Democrats, especially because the media traditionally ignore their stupidity.
Think of the likes of Nancy Pelosi, Barbara Boxer, Sheila Jackson Lee or Maxine Waters. They’re perfect targets, but oh no, can’t criticize, especially if the person is, as they say, “of color.”
Wouldn’t you just love to see someone call them what they are? How about nasty, not too bright, female Democrats with big mouths?!
I don’t recall any dirt about the Romney kids getting into trouble.
Can’t say that about offspring of Democrat families – Kennedy and Gore come to mind – but problem kids aren’t partisan.
But it appears the choice of a woman to stay home as a wife and mother – is, in the eyes of the power elite, a partisan negative.
If you think it’s bad now, you ain’t seen nothin’ yet!
