Black mob attacks and Obama's bureaucrat

On April 16, Maurice Jones began serving as deputy secretary of housing and urban development, having been confirmed by the U.S. Senate.
On April 14, Jones was still publisher of the Norfolk Virginian-Pilot when two of the reporters of that daily newspaper, Dave Forster and Marjon Rostami, were physically attacked by dozens of black teenagers.
Both the Drudge Report and WND’s Joe Kovacs reported that when a rock was thrown at their car, Forster got out of his vehicle to confront the thrower. That was when the beating began, with wave after wave of young men surging forward to take turns punching and kicking Forster.
When Rostami tried to pull him back into the car, this mob pulled her hair, punched her head and caused a bloody scratch on the surface of her eye.
When she finally was able to reach police on her cell phone, she was hysterical and could only scream their location: Church and Brambleton.
The first police arrived on the scene within one minute of the 911 call – at which the crowd of bullies immediately dispersed.
What has increased national outrage over this racial violence is the fact that the Virginian-Pilot, for two weeks, failed to report this.
That, after all that time, this was reported only by Virginian-Pilot columnist Michelle Washington, raises an inevitable question:
Was this fortnight of censorship of undeniable news either ordered by – or done on behalf of – retiring publisher Maurice Jones – because he is himself black?
The Virginian-Pilot is continuing to get hammered for still not doing a news report on this attack on two of its own reporters, which took place near the newspaper’s plant. WND’s Kovacs interviewed Virginian-Pilot editor Denis Finley, who said:
“They think we buried the story. We didn’t bury anything. People are just not stopping to think. What would be my motivation for protecting people who beat up two of my reporters? It’s completely ludicrous that I would do that.
“I think we did the right thing, and I think we’re on solid ground. I don’t think we can win here. If we had published the story, it would look like we’re playing favorites. Because I didn’t publish it, now I’m accused of a cover-up.”
Think about that: “If we had published the story, it would look like we’re playing favorites.”
Translation: Reporting this news would be favoritism – so, for two weeks, we censored it.
From another area of black-mob violence came the following headline: “Now That’s Justice for Trayvon! 20 Blacks Beat a White Man So Badly, He’s Still in Intensive Care.”
That is the headline above Rick Moran’s column in American Thinker, which news was also reported on WKRG News 5, in Mobile, Ala.
“Al Sharpton and the entire leadership of the New Black Panther Party should be arrested and charged as accessories in this horrific beating of a white man by about 20 black adults in Mobile, Ala.
“One thug was heard to say when walking away from putting Matthew Owens in intensive care, ‘Now that’s justice for Trayvon.’
“WKRG News 5 reported:
“According to police, Owens fussed at some kids playing basketball in the middle of Delmar Drive about 8:30 Saturday night. They say the kids left and a group of adults returned, armed with everything but the kitchen sink.
“Police tell News 5 the suspects used chairs, pipes and paint cans to beat Owens.
“Owens’ sister, Ashley Parker, saw the attack. ‘It was the scariest thing I have ever witnessed.’ Parker says 20 people, all African-American, attacked her brother on the front porch of his home, using ‘brass buckles, paint cans and anything they could get their hands on.’
“Police will only say ‘multiple people’ are involved.
“What Parker says happened next could make the fallout from the brutal beating even worse. As the attackers walked away, leaving Owen bleeding on the ground, Parker says one of them said, ‘Now that’s justice for Trayvon.’ Trayvon Martin is the unarmed teenager police say was shot and killed Feb. 26 by neighborhood watch captain George Zimmerman in Samford, Fla.
“Police canvassed the area, but did not find any suspects.”
