(MIAMI HERALD) The state’s controversial list of registered voters who may not be U.S. citizens includes a Brooklyn-born 90-something Broward Democrat who is, in fact, a citizen and World War II veteran, and has voted at least a dozen times in the past decade.

Bill Internicola is one of 259 Broward voters being required to prove they are citizens or be booted off the voter rolls in June, according to the state Division of Elections.

On Tuesday, Internicola is scheduled to be part of a congressional press conference at his senior retirement community Pine Island Ridge Clubhouse in Davie.
