Here’s the short but not so sweet version. You are here, and you’re going there:
“Professing themselves to be wise, they became fools. …” (Romands 1:22, KJV)
World leaders’ roadmap out of unsustainable deficit spending – where governments give their voters things the voters never earned, and their children can’t pay for – is to do more of it – all together now – by … (drumroll) more government funny-money spending.
And here’s the destination:
“And I heard a voice in the midst of the four living creatures saying, ‘A quart of wheat for a denarius, and three quarts of barley for a denarius; and do not harm the oil and the wine.'” (Revelation 6:6 NKJV) [A denarius was commonly a day’s wages during New Testament times.]
Between the act of “becoming fools” and destroying the world economy (stealing through the resultant hyper-inflation everything most people have worked for their entire lives), world leaders will implement a single government to coordinate their monetary pillaging.
The wealthy will become fantastically more wealthy during this time, while most people revert to subsistence living, spending everything they earn on basic essentials.
Let’s flesh it out a bit. The developed world became developed and wealthy because it grew on the sub-structure of Christian values. (Science, for instance, became possible through the concept of an unchanging Judeo-Christian God and his resultant physical laws, not random gods on myriad daily warpaths.)
For economic purposes, it makes not one whit of difference if you believe the religious aspects of Christianity. But during the time the West grew to power and prominence, most folks thought Christian principles were an effective way to live their lives and conduct their business (summary via Jesus: Do unto others as you would have them do unto you).
The left, whether it was personified by Stalin, Hitler, Mao, Castro or today’s Democratic Party, has been hacking away at this Christian sub-structure at least since Marx was stinking up the London library, writing his manifestos.
The effect of the left’s slashing and burning has been much like workmen wandering around underneath the bleachers with hacksaws in hand during the big game, weakening the bleachers at key points below the audience. One moment when the crowd jumps to its feet to cheer on the home team, well … here we are.
There are a new set of Internet entrepreneurs, to be sure. But they make their money by employing automation, not people. In America, large numbers of workers are going to be chasing declining numbers of jobs. Increasing numbers are sitting on the sidelines now with their hand out.
Why? Because they lack the necessary sub-structure success requires. The left has bred it out of them through welfare parenting, “educated” it out of them through public schools and propagandized it out of them with the mainline media – all to support the “perversion du jour” that makes America a disgrace in much of the rest of the world.
So if you’re looking for a job, you’re now competing with hard-working, well-educated people half-a-world – and a mouse click or two – away. Young people who are willing to work for a fraction of what you expect to be paid. And which you never will be paid. Because employers can do without you.
Now perhaps you understand why government everywhere is scrambling to implement the surveillance society. Here in America it will be policed with 30,000 or more all-seeing drones flying silently overhead. It all has far less to do with “keeping us safe” by fighting terrorism and arresting criminality, than it does with sniffing out and eliminating dissent in a once-free and prosperous society.
