In this podcast, Jerry Robinson of “Follow the Money Weekly” talks about the uncertain foundations of Social Security and just how much Americans can count on it for their retirement.
Robinson, and co-host Jennifer Robinson, tackle headon the issue of the new “2033 Crisis,” which formerly was the “2036 Crisis,” which formerly was to “2040 Crisis.”
Their topic is the new government report that estimates that entitlement programs will run out of money sooner that previously reported.
Also, with home ownership at an all-time low in the United States, the question has arisen whether now is a good time to be looking at real estate as an investment.
Joining Robinson on the program this week is Tom Cloud, who talks about what is happening in the gold, silver and palladium markets, and then Jay Peroni joins Robinson to discuss the direction of the stock market.
In the program’s second part, Robinson talks about questions raised in his “Listener Mailbag,” and discusses allocation in a precious metals portfolio.
Then John Bearss, in his Retirement Minute, addresses a creative way to give to your favorite charity.
Finally, Robinson is joined by Kim Hawley, the former head of the Transportation Security Administration, and author of the book, “Permanent Injunction: Inside the TSA and The Fight for the Future of American Security.”
Hawley explains how the agency is going the wrong way.
