Football quarterback Tim Tebow is known for posting Bible verses on his face.

As the NFL kicks off another football season, a bestselling Christian author is reminding people the Bible is more than what New York Jets quarterback Tim Tebow sports on his face, and it promises a spectacular destiny most people have never learned.

Tebow has become world-famous for plastering Scripture verses in eye black, especially John 3:16 in his college days, stating, “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”

During a recent appearance on a radio show in Pensacola, Fla., Joe Kovacs, author of the No. 1 bestseller “The Divine Secret,” said, “The Scriptures are correct. But people need to see these sentences that they haven’t been told before or it just hasn’t been trumpeted enough. You know, Tim Tebow wears John 3:16 on his face – and I love Tim Tebow, by the way, the New York Jets quarterback – but the Bible is a lot more than just John 3:16.”

“There are fantastic phrases and sentences in the Bible which talk about our glorious destiny in the kingdom of God. And a kingdom is a government, and the government of God is coming out of the unseen realm of heaven where it currently exists and is coming back to Planet Earth here,” Kovacs continued.

“Jesus Christ is coming back. He’s bringing the government of God, the kingdom of God to Earth. He’s going to raise His believers from all ages, from ancient times up till now, raise them out of their graves, grant them eternal life and give them roles of rulership, dominion.

“We’re going to reign with Christ here on the Earth as assistants to Him. Not that He needs assistance, but He wants it. He’s all-powerful but He is giving us the same thing that He received from His Father, which is eternal life, and power and glory and rulership, and the Bible talks about our rulership for the future over and over again.

“So people need to get this in their heads. The Bible means what it says. We’re going to sit down on God’s own throne, judge angels, judge the citizens of this world. The power to rule. This is the biblical truth of the matter.

Kovacs was appearing on “Freedom Friday,” hosted by Carl Gallups, a Baptist minister and author of the bestselling book, “The Magic Man in the Sky.”

“You’re absolutely right,” Gallups told Kovacs, “and I’m telling you there are churches who are speaking and preaching this truth but as you so rightly noted, generally speaking, it doesn’t seem to be so much. I remember when I was in seminary – this was almost 30 years ago … when I began to discover these very truths that you’re talking about that you put in your book that I’ve put in my book.”

“And it dawned on me,” Gallups continued, “all those years of my life in Christian churches, coming up under some good preaching and good preachers, but I never heard this stuff! I never understood my eternal destiny. That it’s more than just a little ticket to heaven and then you’re floatin’ on a cloud. You’re NOT floatin’ on a cloud! You’re ruling an reigning with Jesus Christ in the kingdom that is to come! And it just goes on and on and on. And the Scripture is clear.”

Audio of the interview, which is divided into two segments, can be heard below. Part 1 follows:

Part 2 is below:

In his latest work, Kovacs, a Bible-believing Christian and author of the previous No. 1 classic “Shocked by the Bible,” fearlessly explores what Scripture itself calls “the secret that was hidden from everyone since the beginning of time.”

“There’s a divine secret that clearly explains the meaning of life and exactly what is intended for your personal future – and it’s more sensational than you’ve ever imagined,” said Kovacs.

You can get personally autographed copies of “The Divine Secret” right now, or get autographed copies of both “The Divine Secret” and “Shocked by the Bible” bundled together!

“The Divine Secret” provides firm answers to the biggest questions of all time, including why God created men and women in the first place and what’s really meant for everyone in the years to come.

It spans countless centuries of God’s plan, from the deepest part of antiquity, long before the creation of Earth, to the second coming of Jesus and far beyond. It explores the underpublicized reasons why we exist, why life is so challenging, and what exactly you’re meant to do once Jesus comes back.

“I’m amazed that so many of my fellow Christians simply don’t know their magnificent and intended destiny,” says Kovacs. “It’s far more spectacular than just floating around on a cloud for all eternity doing a whole bunch of nothingness besides playing a harp. You’ll be astounded by how much solid information the Bible provides right now about the fantastic future that’s on its way.”

“The Divine Secret” also reveals what will likely happen to the many who never heard God’s truth during their lives – or perhaps were confused about it. That revelation, drawn from the words of your own Bible, is not what you probably think. It’s most likely not what you’ve been taught – and it’ll leave you absolutely stunned. It provides much-needed hope in a time when hope seems missing for so many.

On its first official day of release, “The Divine Secret” skyrocketed to the No. 1 rank in the inspirational category on Amazon.com and people who have read the book are unanimously giving it five stars, the highest possible rating on Amazon.

“This book logically, sequentially, and simply lays out mankind’s ultimate purpose, and every point made is supported by Bible verses,” writes J. Claunch of Washington, D.C.

“Highlighting God’s Old Testament words in red letters – typically only done in the New Testament – is but one of the ‘filters’ removed to clarify God’s meaning and intent. In Joe Kovacs’ words, he removes the ‘blinders of man-made tradition [and] the influence of pagan religions’ to reveal God’s mystery to His people, using God’s words from His Book, the Bible. Daniel 12:4 indicates that knowledge will increase near the time of the end, and this book will certainly increase knowledge for those who read it!”

Aimee Nielsen of Springfield, Mo., writes:

“Mr. Kovacs doesn’t make the Scriptures do spiritual backflips to support a denominational or theological agenda. He just lets the Bible speak for itself. God used this book to truly change my life. Once you know the purpose behind things and the end result, life just gets a whole lot easier.

“Now, my children are asking me those same though questions like ‘Where’s Grandma now?’ and ‘What will happen to me when I die?’ As a parent the biggest blessing came when I was able to answer their questions and they looked at me and said ‘Wow … mom … Thank you. That makes sense!’ I encourage everybody to read this book. You won’t be sorry and your children might even thank you for it!”

A reader calling himself “Bookworm” is also thrilled, writing:

“Kovacs does a remarkable job of bringing the Words of Scripture to life with respect to the destiny of man. If you have ever wondered–and who has not? – what is the purpose of this vain life, then this book is a must read. It explains in compelling detail from the Words of Scripture why God created the earth and man to dwell in it and for what purpose.

“What is amazing is that what Kovacs characterizes in the title of the book as a Divine Secret is in fact a Divine Revelation. The key? Perhaps the key is not the secret itself but the methodology Kovacs describes in the introduction of his book: ‘I do something surprisingly simple. I open the Bible, read the words on its pages, and actually believe them.’

“What an innovative way to look at the Scriptures. Simple. Profound. True. Actually believing and not just professing! What a concept! This book is for anyone interested in the truth of Scripture.”

And Joy4ever Guy says:

“Worthy of a 6! You’re batting 1000 Joe! Two best sellers back-2-back. For the seasoned Christian or the brand new, hungry Christian, ‘The Divine Secret’ will instill new H.O.P.E. into your faith. Baptized in 1974; have read the Bible front to back 4 times; but still consider myself a neophyte Deacon in my church – ‘Secret’ inspired me to create a new acronym: Heaven On ‘Perfected’ Earth = H.O.P.E. (quite possibly) one of our major tasks in the soon coming Kingdom of God. Thank you for broadening my Christian base.”

Even Christians in foreign countries are giving glowing reviews.

Says radio host Ken Hancock of Northsound 2 Radio in Scotland, “This is a timely book for an age when, sadly, many churches no longer see fit to tell their congregations about our glorious future as God’s children. Joe Kovacs shines new light on ancient truths that once turned the world upside-down. If it be the will of God, through the words on these pages they will do so again!”

A special feature of “The Divine Secret” is that all personal comments from God are highlighted in red letters, even from the OLD Testament. This really brings to life God’s incredible plan.

“I’ve never understood why people make most Bibles showing red letters in the New Testament only, when it’s the same God as in the Old Testament,” Kovacs said. “Seeing the Creator’s personal remarks highlighted in the Old Testament is something every lover of God and the Bible needs to experience. You don’t want to miss a single word spoken by our loving God, and ‘The Divine Secret’ helps provide the prominence they deserve.”

In addition to clearly explaining the true meaning of life, “The Divine Secret” also investigates:

  • The real nature of miracles
  • More than one resurrection from the dead in the future
  • What the Bible really means by “the kingdom of God”
  • The future “quickening” spoken of in the New Testament
  • The benefits of suffering
  • “American Idol” and “Dancing With the Stars” have something very important in common with your biblical destiny
  • Eating and drinking in the eternal kingdom of God
  • Special abilities you can have in the kingdom of God
  • The intriguing future of animals
  • And much more!

“If you liked ‘Shocked by the Bible,’ you’ll love ‘The Divine Secret,’” said Kovacs. “This book finally puts the answers so many are seeking into clear and simple terms. When you finally come to grips with the fact the Bible actually means what it says, you’ll understand the glorious truth about your purpose, and the purpose of everyone who has ever existed.”

Joe Kovacs has spent more than 25 years in the broadcast, print, and online media, receiving awards for excellence in news coverage from the Associated Press and United Press International.
