(Houston Chronicle) A former Houston police officer, accused of laundering dirty money, was stopped while driving on the North Freeway carrying $350,187 – stashed in what looked like a case of “Kentucky Deluxe” whiskey – and a Glock handgun in the glove compartment.

Anthony Foster’s gold Yukon sport utility vehicle was making a run earlier this year along what authorities contend was a Houston-based money laundering pipeline that pushed $27 million in drug money into the U.S. banking system and Mexico.
