A Christian author who has written two consecutive bestsellers championing Bible truth is now being compared on Amazon.com to C.S. Lewis, the famed Belfast-born author who wrote “Mere Christianity” and “The Chronicles of Narnia,” among many other classics.
Today’s author is Joe Kovacs, whose brand-new book, “The Divine Secret: The Awesome and Untold Truth About Your Phenomenal Destiny,” is also being predicted to “go down in history as one of the great pieces of Christian literature” as it continues to collect five-star ratings online.
Reviewer William L. Knecht, who describes himself as an 84-year-old “who has had a copy of the Bible by his bed since he first learned to read,” says he’s now an avid advocate of “The Divine Secret,” as it reminds him of Lewis’ writings.
“I have long been a disciple of C.S. Lewis and the first thing that attracted me when I began read Kovacs’ works was his depiction of future roles which faithful followers of Christ would be given,” Knecht explains in his Amazon review.
“Lewis wrote in a number of places about our future as judges and rulers who might share the tasks of leaders in God’s family, as did Bishop Tom Wright in one of his works … . But none ever made matters as clear as they are in ‘The Divine Secret.’”
Lewis is known for writing “Mere Christianity,” which in 2000 was named by Christianity Today magazine as the best religious book of the 20th century, calling it, “The best case for the essentials of orthodox Christianity in print.”
Knecht goes on to rave about “The Divine Secret,” saying: “I was not able to put this treasure away and since finding the answers to all the divine secrets I have recommended it to my five grown-up kids and my 23 growing grandkids and to their kids who can read, urging them to read it aloud with their families as they prepare for eternity. Kovacs tears away the veil built by so many in the centuries since the Bible was given us. … I am more than happy to argue that Kovacs has guided us to build upon the Rock which Jesus told his disciples about in the Sermon on the Mount (Matthew 7:25).”
Another Amazon reviewer known as “A Bible Lover” calls “The Divine Secret” an “amazing book:”
“It was a breathtaking read and answered 95 percent of my questions. In fact, I think it was such a great book that I think it will go down in history as one of the great pieces of Christian literature. Truly, I have never read anything like this. The book was written so plainly yet so eloquently. Mr. Kovacs ties up all the loose ends from God’s initial creation to the far future conclusion of God’s purpose for mankind and the universe.”
“I am truly humbled that readers think so highly of ‘The Divine Secret,’” responded Kovacs.
“To be compared to C.S. Lewis is really an honor. Lewis understood that the Bible means what it says, and when it talks about our glorious destiny, it does NOT mean floating on a cloud doing nothing but staring at God’s face forever. It means we are going to sit down on God’s own throne, judging angels and the citizens of this world, ruling and reigning along side Jesus Christ, just as He promised. If people really knew the astonishing reason they’re alive, I think most would get their act together.”
In his latest work, Kovacs, a Bible-believing Christian and author of the previous No. 1 classic "Shocked by the Bible," fearlessly explores what Scripture itself calls "the secret that was hidden from everyone since the beginning of time."
"There's a divine secret that clearly explains the meaning of life and exactly what is intended for your personal future – and it's more sensational than you've ever imagined," said Kovacs.
"The Divine Secret" provides firm answers to the biggest questions of all time, including why God created men and women in the first place and what's really meant for everyone in the years to come.
It spans countless centuries of God's plan, from the deepest part of antiquity, long before the creation of Earth, to the second coming of Jesus and far beyond. It explores the underpublicized reasons why we exist, why life is so challenging, and what exactly you're meant to do once Jesus comes back.
"I'm amazed that so many of my fellow Christians simply don't know their magnificent and intended destiny," says Kovacs. "It's far more spectacular than just floating around on a cloud for all eternity doing a whole bunch of nothingness besides playing a harp. You'll be astounded by how much solid information the Bible provides right now about the fantastic future that's on its way."
"The Divine Secret" also reveals what will likely happen to the many who never heard God's truth during their lives – or perhaps were confused about it. That revelation, drawn from the words of your own Bible, is not what you probably think. It's most likely not what you've been taught – and it'll leave you absolutely stunned. It provides much-needed hope in a time when hope seems missing for so many.
On its first official day of release, "The Divine Secret" skyrocketed to the No. 1 rank in the inspirational category on Amazon.com and people who have read the book are unanimously giving it five stars, the highest possible rating on Amazon.
"This book logically, sequentially, and simply lays out mankind's ultimate purpose, and every point made is supported by Bible verses," writes J. Claunch of Washington, D.C.
"Highlighting God's Old Testament words in red letters – typically only done in the New Testament – is but one of the 'filters' removed to clarify God's meaning and intent. In Joe Kovacs' words, he removes the 'blinders of man-made tradition [and] the influence of pagan religions' to reveal God's mystery to His people, using God's words from His Book, the Bible. Daniel 12:4 indicates that knowledge will increase near the time of the end, and this book will certainly increase knowledge for those who read it!"
Aimee Nielsen of Springfield, Mo., writes:
"Mr. Kovacs doesn't make the Scriptures do spiritual backflips to support a denominational or theological agenda. He just lets the Bible speak for itself. God used this book to truly change my life. Once you know the purpose behind things and the end result, life just gets a whole lot easier.
"Now, my children are asking me those same though questions like 'Where's Grandma now?' and 'What will happen to me when I die?' As a parent the biggest blessing came when I was able to answer their questions and they looked at me and said 'Wow ... mom ... Thank you. That makes sense!' I encourage everybody to read this book. You won't be sorry and your children might even thank you for it!"
A reader calling himself "Bookworm" is also thrilled, writing:
"Kovacs does a remarkable job of bringing the Words of Scripture to life with respect to the destiny of man. If you have ever wondered–and who has not? – what is the purpose of this vain life, then this book is a must read. It explains in compelling detail from the Words of Scripture why God created the earth and man to dwell in it and for what purpose.
"What is amazing is that what Kovacs characterizes in the title of the book as a Divine Secret is in fact a Divine Revelation. The key? Perhaps the key is not the secret itself but the methodology Kovacs describes in the introduction of his book: 'I do something surprisingly simple. I open the Bible, read the words on its pages, and actually believe them.'
"What an innovative way to look at the Scriptures. Simple. Profound. True. Actually believing and not just professing! What a concept! This book is for anyone interested in the truth of Scripture."
And Joy4ever Guy says:
"Worthy of a 6! You're batting 1000 Joe! Two best sellers back-2-back. For the seasoned Christian or the brand new, hungry Christian, 'The Divine Secret' will instill new H.O.P.E. into your faith. Baptized in 1974; have read the Bible front to back 4 times; but still consider myself a neophyte Deacon in my church – 'Secret' inspired me to create a new acronym: Heaven On 'Perfected' Earth = H.O.P.E. (quite possibly) one of our major tasks in the soon coming Kingdom of God. Thank you for broadening my Christian base."
Even Christians in foreign countries are giving glowing reviews.
Says radio host Ken Hancock of Northsound 2 Radio in Scotland, "This is a timely book for an age when, sadly, many churches no longer see fit to tell their congregations about our glorious future as God's children. Joe Kovacs shines new light on ancient truths that once turned the world upside-down. If it be the will of God, through the words on these pages they will do so again!"
A special feature of "The Divine Secret" is that all personal comments from God are highlighted in red letters, even from the OLD Testament. This really brings to life God's incredible plan.
"I've never understood why people make most Bibles showing red letters in the New Testament only, when it's the same God as in the Old Testament," Kovacs said. "Seeing the Creator's personal remarks highlighted in the Old Testament is something every lover of God and the Bible needs to experience. You don't want to miss a single word spoken by our loving God, and 'The Divine Secret' helps provide the prominence they deserve."
In addition to clearly explaining the true meaning of life, "The Divine Secret" also investigates:
"If you liked 'Shocked by the Bible,' you'll love 'The Divine Secret,'" said Kovacs. "This book finally puts the answers so many are seeking into clear and simple terms. When you finally come to grips with the fact the Bible actually means what it says, you'll understand the glorious truth about your purpose, and the purpose of everyone who has ever existed."
Joe Kovacs has spent more than 25 years in the broadcast, print, and online media, receiving awards for excellence in news coverage from the Associated Press and United Press International. A frequent media guest, Kovacs has appeared on "The O'Reilly Factor" on the Fox News Channel as well as countless radio shows across America and the world, including "Coast to Coast AM."
