(San Jose Mercury News) The alleged abuse of children at O.B. Whaley elementary school in San Jose by a teacher could date back at least two years — a year earlier than previously revealed — according to new legal documents filed in the case.

Craig Richard Chandler, 35, has been charged with five counts of lewd and lascivious acts on a child under the age of 14 at the K-6 school. Chandler was arrested Jan. 10, initially on suspicion of molesting two girls. After his arrest, prosecutors added charges related to three more children.
