Dr. Shakil Afridi

No good deed goes unpunished. ~ Clare Boothe Luce

Following the military tactics of genocidal Islam, Muslim radicals interrupted reverential 9/11 memorial services in New York and other venues honoring the 3,000 Americans killed 11 years ago. To rub salt into America’s wounds these savages have precipitated the following events throughout the world:

  • On 9/11 U.S. Ambassador to Libya J. Christopher Stevens, two Marines and an embassy staffer were killed in a coordinated attack in Benghazi. Ambassador Stevens was reportedly sodomized before he was brutally killed by the mob. Obviously, information that he was present at the Benghazi mission was compromised.
  • Egyptian demonstrators climbed the walls of the U.S. Embassy in Cairo on 9/11, pulled down the American flag and replaced it with a Muslim Brotherhood black flag to protest a film they say is insulting to the prophet Muhammad. Remember, in 2011 America fought an overt war in Libya and covert war to rid Egypt of the hated dictators Gadhafi and Mubarak, only to allow the terrorist Muslim Brotherhood to seize power in both countries.
  • Regarding Israel’s desperate plight to meet with the president regarding Iran before the mullahs obtain nuclear weapons and “wipe Israel off the map,” Obama is too busy campaigning in Vegas for cash and going on the David Letterman show, partying in New York with Jay-Z and Beyonce and a radio interview with “The Pimp with a limp.”

Here is Obama’s staff’s pathetic statement of appeasement as protesters scaled the wall of the embassy: “The Embassy of the United States in Cairo condemns the continuing efforts by misguided individuals to hurt the religious feelings of Muslims – as we condemn efforts to offend believers of all religions.” [Emphasis added.] Obama blames the moviemakers!

Despite global Islamic jihad against the West, Jews and Christians, there is a Muslim hero I wish to pay tribute to: Dr. Shakil Afridi, a CIA informant jailed and tortured by the Pakistani intelligence agency (ISI) for his role in helping America and Obama successfully hunt down Osama bin Laden.

Why has this Pakistani surgeon who courageously helped Obama get bin Laden languishing in jail, having been savagely tortured for over a year in a Pakistani prison, while Obama and the State Department do nothing?!

Afridi helped the CIA out of sincere devotion to the U.S., and promised that he would continue to help America again regardless of suffering crippling torture and psychological cruelty during the 12 months he was held by the ISI.

“I have a lot of respect and love for your people,” he said, adding that he was “proud to work with” the CIA. Afridi told Fox News, “I tried to argue that America was Pakistan’s biggest supporter – billions and billions of dollars in aid, social and military assistance – but all they said was, ‘These are our worst enemies. You helped our enemies.'”

A year later, Afridi’s living conditions now are vastly improved over those forced on him by his ISI tormentors. He was recently moved from the ISI jail and is now about 120 miles northwest of Islamabad guarded constantly by two commandos at Peshawar.

The pretext or cover story is that Afridi was sentenced in May to 33 years in jail by a tribal court for funding and supporting the Lashkar-e-Islam militant group; however, Lashkar-e-Islam denies involvement with him and, together with the Taliban, has sworn to kill him. In truth Afridi is constantly being threatened, punished and tortured (physically and psychologically) by the ISI Pakistani authorities for helping the CIA kill bin Laden. The Pakistanis treacherously hid bid Laden one mile from their military base for eight years, since 2003. Incidentally, over the past 10 years, we wasted about $21 billion bribing Pakistan through “diplomacy” and “foreign aid.”

Last week, the Afridi case was adjourned until the end of the month, which his lawyers see as a stalling tactic by the ISI since Afridi’s court file against him is filled with dozens of dubious witness statements often made in the same handwriting. It also contains glaring factual inaccuracies and apparent falsification of circumstantial evidence purportedly by witnesses he does not know or do not exist. This protracted legal battle complicates matters for Afridi’s family, which was financially dependent on the doctor. He appealed to his supporters in the U.S. for immediate help. Obama and the State Department only ignore Afridi’s pleas.

“My bank account was looted [by the ISI while being held], making me bankrupt. I need financial, legal and diplomatic help,” Afridi said. “My situation is very grim. I earned millions of rupees (tens of thousands of dollars) a year and supported my family and that of my brother. All of that is lost.” Since Afridi’s arrest, the family collectively has suffered $160,000 in lost income, legal fees and living costs, an entire life’s fortune by Pakistani standards, he estimated.

Clare Boothe Luce was tragically right. No good deed goes unpunished.

Returning to the cause of this existential chaos and anger directed toward American interests throughout the Middle East, the so-called anti-Islamic movie about Muhammad is a brazen pretext that our propaganda press, State Department and President Obama shamelessly glommed onto to curry favor with Islamic fanatics whose singular purpose was to bring derision to America on 9/11 – our sacred day of mourning. Obama and Hillary’s groveling appeasement to Muslim fanatics is outrageous and places all Americans in danger. To believe otherwise places America, the West and Christianity effectively under Shariah law.

Thank God for Dr. Afridi, for one good Muslim, for one good spy and his unheralded heroism to stand with America in love to bring bin Laden to justice. Instead of preening about like a pompous peacock and constantly taking credit for causing bin Laden’s death, President Obama should demand from Pakistan, at pains of cutting off all future foreign aid, Afridi’s immediate release from prison so that he and his family can be given direct passage to America to live the rest of their lives in peace, dignity and freedom.
