(Springfield News-Leader) A Springfield woman is accused of printing her own paychecks — giving herself a six-figure salary in the process — and cashing them at Walmart stores throughout the Midwest.

Victoria L. Calbert, 40, is charged with four counts of felony forgery and one count of possessing forgery equipment, according to documents provided by the Greene County Prosecutor’s Office.

The charges stem from Sept. 11 and Sept. 15 incidents during which Calbert allegedly cashed counterfeit checks at local Walmart stores, as well as from a Sept. 27 search of her residence that police say turned up more counterfeit checks, fake military IDs and related equipment.
