In this podcast, economist, columnist, radio host and international conference speaker Jerry Robinson of "Follow the Money Weekly" talks about how housing starts are up and home prices are growing, and that could be bad.
He explains that the U.S. stock market remains in a correction mode at this point, but recent economic data may seem to suggest that America's economy finally is beginning to grow again.
He said consumers also are borrowing more. But he said that "seemingly good economic news" actually could be a sign that inflation is just around the corner.
Then Jennifer Robinson shares 12 different places that wealthy investors are stashing their cash to protect against future inflation (besides gold.) And Jerry names the world’s 15 fastest growing economies along with his investment ideas.
Jerry Robinson explains that just one week back, he talked about how the markets are in "full correction mode," and noted that on Friday, stocks had their biggest one-day losses in more than four months.
"All key S&P sectors closed firmly in negative territory, led by materials and tech. Despite the rough patch on Friday, the S&P 500 is still hovering above its 50-day moving average and its key support level of 1420-1425. If that level is broken next week, we will begin taking profits and raising cash," he explains.
Then precious metals adviser Tom Cloud talks about the week's events in the gold and silver markets, and then Jay Peroni, certified financial planner, discusses a week of trading gains.
Finally, Jerry and Jennifer Robinson respond to a few listener questions including how to invest in water, the future of natural gas and what a slowdown in China will mean to the U.S.
Podcast is 1:12:01.
