Cop says he would volunteer to assassinate Obama

(Florida Times-Union) Sam Koivisto, now a former Jacksonville police officer, told investigators he did comment he’d volunteer to kill President Barack Obama. He told them he was frustrated with the Nov. 6 election and the threat was all talk.

On Wednesday, Koivisto told the Times-Union the issue was “blown out of proportion” and that he was planning to retire in five months anyway. He said the early retirement was probably “best for everybody.”
