Emergency meeting today to recount early-voting ballots

(TCPalm) An emergency meeting of the St. Lucie County Canvassing Board has been scheduled for 7 a.m. Sunday at the Supervisor of Elections Office to recount all ballots cast during early voting in the Nov. 6 general election.

Supervisor of Elections Gertrude Walker could not be reached for comment Saturday night. However, candidates for the closely contested races for mayor of Fort Pierce and the District 18 congressional seat had been notified.
