(Edmonton Journal) Dr. Yoni Freedhoff flashed a glass of water and five teaspoons of sugar on the big screen and asked the crowd if that looked like a healthy drink. Of course not, they nodded knowingly.

Yet that just about describes as the nutritional value of a glass of fruit juice which most Canadians drink daily, says Freedhoff, a vocal critic of Canada’s Food Guide speaking Wednesday at the University of Alberta Health Law Institute.
