(OCALA STAR-BANNER) Joyce Romer’s Thanksgiving will go on, despite someone swiping a turkey out of a freezer in her garage.
Romer, 70, reported the bird burglary Monday morning. She told Marion County Sheriff’s Office deputies she bought the 12.5 pound bird Friday.
“I asked (my husband) to go get the turkey so we could start thawing it out,” Romer said. “He was gone for the longest time and finally he came in and asked, ‘Where’d you put the thing?’”
