"The only thing left for Barack Obama to do is to work like a Third-World dictator and just put all of these guys in jail."
Entertainer Harry Belafonte, a longtime leftist activist, told MSNBC's Al Sharpton this was the solution for dealing with those who stand in the way of Barack Obama's second-term goals.
On the Monday edition of MSNBC's "PoliticsNation" show, Belafonte appeared in a segment with Kerry Kennedy of the RFK Center for Justice.
Sharpton asked Belafonte: "All right, Harry. You fought for decades for some of the quote, 'entitlements' that the right wing wants to try and balance this budget, balance the deficit off of. As you look at this, Medicaid, Medicare, Social Security, [you've] been an activist leader from Roosevelt, Eleanor Roosevelt through Dr. King, through Mandela, to Obama. How do you view this and what is the challenge for those that are on the field today?"
Belafonte responded: "What I think has most attracted me through this whole process is watching the political maturity of the American people. There was a great question during the first election as to whether or not Barack would even be elected. And after the turnout show emphatically, would put him in the presidency, it's interesting to watch the second term."

He continued: "When everybody really didn't quite know what the game would be. Well, the American people, in their maturity, declared themselves fully. We want what Barack Obama is talking about. We want the country to go in that direction."
Belafonte said "what fascinates me, is that the face of millions of Americans expressing their desire. The whole political establishment defining its game, that there should be this lingering infestation of really corrupt people who sit trying to dismantle the wishes of the people, the mandate that has been given to Barack Obama."
"And I don't know what more they want," he said. "The only thing left for Barack Obama to do is to work like a third-world dictator and just put all of these guys in jail. You're violating the American desire."
In 2006, Belafonte called then-President George W. Bush "the greatest terrorist in the world" when he was part of delegation with actor Danny Glover and Cornel West to visit Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez.
He praised Chavez, saying, "No matter what the greatest tyrant in the world, the greatest terrorist in the world, George W. Bush says, we're here to tell you: Not hundreds, not thousands, but millions of the American people ... support your revolution."
Belafonte isn't the only entertainment celebrity who has voiced hope that Obama will seek "revenge" on those who disagree with his policies. In 2011, comedian Chris Rock told fellow comedian Marc Maron on the "WTF with Marc Maron" podcast that he's "fine with the president," if only because he understands that the president has to keep his most aggressive policies on the back burner until he earns a second term.
"There's a f------ art to the first term because you're always running for a second term the whole time. It's like Clinton's first term. You can't really do your gangsta sh-- until your second term. … Even Bush couldn't really f--- up the world until his second term. That's when he put the hammer down.
"We want revenge; we don't want justice. That’s the problem with the Democrats. We want revenge."
What Obama really plans to do during his second term has been exposed in "Fool Me Twice" by New York Times bestselling authors Aaron Klein and Brenda Elliott.
The authors document that just as Obama concealed the true plans for his initial term behind rhetoric of ending partisan differences and cutting the federal deficit, Obama's re-election theme of creating jobs conceals more than it reveals about his real agenda for a second term: the "progressive" program to complete the fundamental transformation of America during the next four years.
The work includes stunning revelations about second-term plans for a "New Deal"-style overhaul of the economy replete with the creation of a National Infrastructure Development Bank to oversee government control of the financial system; a massive, government-run jobs program to coincide with "paycheck fairness"; full amnesty for illegal aliens; defunding of the U.S. military while channeling Pentagon money to "clean" energy initiatives; a new, multibillion dollar "green" stimulus; and implementing Obamacare in measures nearly impossible to reverse.
The book is based on their exhaustive research into Obama as well as the major "progressive" groups behind Obama and the Democratic leadership.
