'Cheaper air fares' as oil prices fall

'This has already been happening over the last few months'

(TELEGRAPH) — Tourists can expect to pay less for their flights next year, claims the aviation industry’s leading economist.

Airline passengers will benefit chiefly because of falling oil prices in the next 12 months, says Brian Pearce, of the International Air Transport Association.

Competition between airlines would bring the cheaper prices to passengers, he said. “This has already been happening over the last few months and will continue next year.”
