(SUN-SENTINEL) — Irwin Kahn, auditioning for a Jewish senior comedy troupe, opened his routine with a riddle: Where in the Torah is the first mention of tennis?
"In Genesis," he said. "When Joseph served in Pharaoh's court."
Pa-dum-pum.
Another Kahn joke went over a little better. A husband told his rabbi his wife was trying to poison him. The rabbi told him to calm down; he would have a talk with her.
The rabbi called the man back. "I spoke to her for an hour and a half," he said. "Take the poison."
