(TIMESHERALD) — How photographs of female students at Sandy Run Middle School and other area schools got posted to a website that has links to pornographic websites is being investigated by Upper Dublin police.
Upper Dublin and several other local and county agencies are investigating “the unauthorized posting of numerous juvenile females’ images on a disturbing adult website,” Upper Dublin Detective Mike Scarpato said in an email Friday. It appears the images were taken from the girls’ Facebook profiles, he said.
The website to which the photos were posted apparently posts photos of girls ranging in age from 13 to 17, Scarpato said. The site, created in June 2009, is not pornographic itself, but has photos of “jailbait” and has numerous third-party ads for pornographic websites and other adult materials, he said, and “contains thousands of photos of juvenile females.”
