The untold reason Jesus was born

Whenever Christmastime rolls around, many people – whether they’re Christian or not – get excited.
They get excited at extravagant and colorful lighting displays.
They get excited at exquisite tree decorations.
They get excited about parties, drinking and delicious treats.
They get excited with anticipation about what kind of gift will be awaiting them under those trees on Dec. 25th.
Many sense a kinder, gentler spirit of good will permeating the airwaves and the hearts of others.
And as soon as Christmas passes, the excitement and goodwill evaporate faster than grandma getting run over by a reindeer.
But if you look into the Bible – I mean really look, and not just at one verse – there is truly good reason to be excited for your own life when it comes to the birth of Jesus.
I’m not writing here about whether the holiday known as Christmas should be celebrated or not.
I’m writing about one of the most important reasons WHY Jesus, the Creator of the universe, left His home in the unseen dimension of heaven and lived some 33 years as a human being.
It has a direct connection with your personal future and ultimate destiny, and, chances are, you have NOT been properly told about it.
You’ve likely already heard that Jesus came to Earth to “save sinners.” Yes, that’s very true.
But for what purpose is He really saving them? What is the intended final destiny of human beings?
Millions of Christians actually have little idea, except to imagine that as long as they “believe in Jesus,” they’ll be spending all eternity floating on a cloud in heaven, doing a whole bunch of nothingness except strumming a harp or playing a flute, all the while looking at the face of Jesus.
This is just not the case, according to Scripture.
The truth of the matter is far more glorious than you’ve likely been told, and it provides invigorating purpose and meaning to life, both in this lifetime and in the afterlife.
When it comes to the reason you’re here, the simple facts straight from the Bible are these.
You are meant to reign and rule with Jesus Christ forever.
Here are a few of the many verses that proclaim your fantastic future. I’m adding emphasis to some of the words just so you don’t miss them, as well as putting the words of Jesus Himself in red.
Countless people who call themselves Christian are simply oblivious to this. They don’t know they’re intended to rule over all nations and kingdoms, as well as judge the world and even angels once Jesus returns.
The apostle Paul stressed: “Don’t you know that someday we Christians are going to judge the world? … Don’t you realize that we Christians will judge angels?” (1 Corinthians 6:2-3 NLT)
And did you know that Jesus Himself promised His true followers that they’d even be sitting down on His own throne?
The untold reason why Jesus was born as a human being for a short time was to show His people whom He made in His own image how to properly live and overcome sin so they themselves could become literal “sons of God” (John 1:12), the very “offspring of God” (Acts 17:29), and “partakers of the divine nature” (2 Peter 1:4) so they can rule with Jesus.
Isn’t it about time Christians actually accept and believe the words that are already in their own Bibles?
When I read Scripture, I can’t find a single mention of Santa Claus, Frosty the Snowman or Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer.
But I can find plenty of very clear statements from God about our divine destiny, sitting on His throne, judging the world and judging angels, reigning and ruling with the Maker of all things for all eternity.
Now that is something to truly get excited about.
