Homeschool students hit the slopes
'There are a bunch of big hills and it's really good learning'
OTIS, Mass. (WGGB)- The slopes at Otis Ridge Ski Area were packed full of students today. The facility offers a 6-week program for children who are homeschooled.
Students registered in the fall and they come once a week during this winter season on Thursdays. This is the 10th year of the program and this year about 180 students are participating.
Most students begin the day with a one-hour lesson. “There are a bunch of big hills and it’s really good learning!” says one student, Sammy Maver.
