Privacy guidelines issued on mobile applications
'Californians want to know what personal information their apps collect, how it is used'
(Sacramento Bee) California Attorney General Kamala Harris has issued recommendations for mobile application developers and the mobile device industry to safeguard consumer privacy.
The report, entitled “Privacy on the Go,” offers guidance on developing privacy practices, policies and industrywide cooperation.
Officials characterized it as a template for the industry to develop plans that will improve consumer privacy without stifling innovation.
