NEW YORK (CBSNewYork) – Once the Jets’ season wrapped up in disappointing fashion against the Buffalo Bills, it seemed almost certain that it was the last time Tim Tebow would ever wear the Jets’ colors.

It turns out that might not be so.

As the season progressed, and Tebow’s playing time continued to be limited, reports came out that the Jets would release or trade Tebow in the offseason. Reports then indicated that Tebow, who was leapfrogged by third-string quarterback Greg McElroy when Mark Sanchez was struggling, would request to be let go by New York.
