Dear Mr. Kupelian,

I just read your column, “The giant, gaping hole in Sandy Hook reporting.” I was immediately reminded of Neal Knox, the former NRA board member and founder of the Firearms Coalition. For at least 10 years before his death in 2005, Neal talked about the same things you talk about in this article. He always prefaced his remarks with the fact that the world has had powerful, lethal firearms for 400 years, and semi-auto firearms for 125 years, but we’ve only had multiple-victim, public shootings for about 25 years. Neal would then ask, “What has changed?” You have answered that question with intricate detail. Thank you.
