(Examiner) There are food stamps for pets, according to a Feb. 25 Inquisitor report. Around 47 million families in the U.S. receive federal food stamps, but these only buy food for human family members and not four legged family members.

An organization out of New York City is called Pet Food Stamps, and the organization wants to ensure that no pets go hungry. Currently Pet Food Stamps is working to achieve non-profit status.
