WASHINGTON – Newsweek proclaimed former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton "The Most Powerful Woman in American History" in a cover story this week.
But the feature leaves out a few simple facts, contends conservative talk-show host Laura Ingraham.
She was subbing for Bill O'Reilly on "The O'Reilly Factor" when she said the "lionizing of Hillary Clinton" is too much.
"Mrs. Clinton is a highly intelligent global celebrity," Ingraham said. "She's reached a level few men, let alone women, ever reach in our country. Yet titles don't tell the whole story – the Benghazi attack, a failed reset with Russia, a powerful and more emboldened China, Iran closer to a nuclear weapon."

Michael O’Hanlon of the Brookings Institute echoed her point.
"Even an admirer, such as myself, has to admit that few big problems were solved on her watch, few victories achieved," O'Hanlon said.
"The fact is, we just don't have the influence we used to have around the world. From Syria to Mali, we have led from behind," he said. So, in effect, the former secretary of state has helped manage our decline in what looks like an increasingly post-American world."
Ingraham said Clinton's work "should be judged on whether she has left American foreign policy in a stronger or weaker position."
Many conservatives criticized Democrats on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee for not holding Clinton accountable for the Benghazi attack during a hearing Jan. 23.
Rather than using the hearing to question Clinton's knowledge of the events Sept. 11 that led to the deaths of U.S. Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans, many Democrats used the opportunity to compliment her on her work and state their desire to see her return to public service.
